Wish you all a Happy Easter. Our good Lord died for us because we all like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone, to our own way, and the Lord has laid on Jesus Christ the iniquity of us all.
We will remember Good Friday as the day Jesus died for us so that we may live.
On the first day of the week after Jesus rose from the dead, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jacob, and Salome came to the tomb early in the morning Mark 16:5 “And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.”
They saw a young angel. There is no age for angels and hence they will always look young. There is no gender for angels, neither do they multiply. The same number of angels are there as when the Lord created them. They can change their form when needed, but they are always young. The angel can take the form of a man but man can never take the form of an angel. The angel can partake of man’s food.
Abraham fed the three angels who came to his tent and they ate. Genesis 18:6-8 “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.”
In heaven they may be eating the purest and richest food. But still they did not belittle man’s food on earth.
In a similar way, Samson’s parents Manoah and his wife gave a grain sacrifice to the Angel andhe accepted it. Judges 13:19,20“So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wondrously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.”
The Bible says that the Angels food is called heavenly manna. The Lord fed the Israelites for 40 years with this manna in the wilderness. Psalms 78:25 “Man did eat angels’ food: he sent them meat to the full.”
Man’s strength became less and his life span subsequently decreased. Moses writes in Psalms 90:10 “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.”
But the Angels are vey mighty. Hearing the prayer of Hezekiah, Lord sent one angel to war with Assyria, and he killed 185,000 soldiers.
Psalms 103:20 “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”
For those who do not know the Lord… 2 Thessalonians 1:7,8“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:”
When a person dies after receiving salvation and goes to heaven, he will be like one of the angels. Luke 20:36 “Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.”
They will see the Lord face to face. Revelation 22:4-5 “And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.”
When the Lord sends His angels to us they will bring the word of God, wisdom and understanding to us.
Despite the Angels of the Lord being very strong, they do not use their might unnecessarily. But the people of this world will waste their strength in vain things. Apostle Peter writes in 2 Peter 2:11 “Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.”
Even the Archangel Michael when fighting for the body of Moses was very patient. Jude 1:9“Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”
In the Old Testament when the Israelites left Egypt to go to the land of honey and milk;until they reached, the cloud by day and column of fire by night and the angel of the Lord went before them. Exodus 23:20 “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.”
The angels of God will remain away from the wicked and the unrighteous people.
First we have to accept the Lord and then confess Him before the people. Matthew 10:32 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
Wherever you confess the name of Jesus, the Lord will send His angels and bless you. Luke 12:8 “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.”
Whenever you confess the name of Jesus, the Lord is very happy and will send his angels to protect you. Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the angels will always be with you.
May this Easter be a wonderful one for you and your family.
May our Good Lord bless you and keep you till we meet again through these pages.
Yours in the Lord’s service

Praise the Lord. My mother Indubai Lokhande was suffering from diabetes and kidney problem for the past 6 years. She was undergoing the treatment for the same. But there was no improvement in her condition. Just few days back her condition deteriorated further and we lost all hope of her survival. While the Rose of Sharon programme was going on Shubh sandesh TV. I called up one of the prayer request phone numbers and requested for prayers for my mother after which she is alright and normal now. Thanks for praying and Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord. My daughter Damarius had severe pain in her stomach along with high fever. I got worried and called up Pastor Saroja the next Sunday morning and told her about her problem. Pastor advised me to bring her to the Sunday Church Service and assured me of her prayers. She also prayed over her in the Church. My daughter was completely healed within 2 days and is perfectly alright now. I greatly thank our Lord Jesus Christ for His healing and Pastor Saroja for her fervent prayers for me and my family.
*Bro.Jayantilal Patel, Jogeshwari.
Praise the Lord. Since nearly 3 months I had severe pain in my right arm near the shoulder joints. I would suddenly start experiencing unbearable shooting pain due to which I could neither move my arm nor do any work. I used to feel as though my arm had been dislocated from my shoulder. I told this matter to Pastor Saroja who prayed for me and advised me. Today my condition is much better and the shooting pain has completely vanished. By God’s grace alone I am able to move my arm and do my normal work. And also by His grace alone there was no need for me to go through any medical tests too. I thank my Lord Jesus for doing this marvelous work in my life and also sincerely thank Pastor Saroja for her fervent prayers and valuable advice for me.
*Sis. Savitha Roberts, Vakola.

“Edith’s lab report came and it says she has cancer, and Edith, is not going to live very long. She was all alone in this world.” She admitted herself in hospital. Many women were gloriously saved by her teaching of real meaning of Easter. Everybody on that floor from staff to patients were so excited about Edith, that they started calling her Edith Easter; everyone except Phyllis Cross, the head nurse. She made it plain that she wanted nothing to do with Edith because she was a “religious nut”. She had been a nurse in an army hospital. She had seen it all and heard it all. She was the original G.I. Jane. She had been married three times, she was hard, cold, and did everything by the book. Well, one morning the two nurses who were to attend to Edith were sick. Edith had the flu, and Phyllis Cross had to go in and give her a shot.
When she walked in, Edith had a big smile on her face and said, “Phyllis, God loves you and I love you, and I have been praying for you.”
Phyllis Cross said, “Well, you can quit praying for me, you religious nut, it won’t work. I’m not interested.”
Edith said, “Well, I will pray and I have asked God not to let me go home until you come into the family.” Phyllis Cross said, “Then you will never die because that will never happen.” She walked out of the room. Every day Phyllis Cross would walk into that room and Edith would say, “God loves you Phyllis and I love you, and I’m praying for you.”
One day Phyllis Cross said she was literally drawn to Edith’s room like a magnet would draw iron. She sat down on the bed and Edith said, “I’m so glad you have come, because God told me that today is your special day.”
Phyllis Cross said, “Edith, you have asked everybody here the question, ‘Do you believe in Easter?’ but you have never asked me.”
Edith said, “Phyllis, I wanted to many times, but God told me to wait until you asked, and now that you have asked …”
Edith Burns took her Bible and shared with Phyllis Cross the Easter Story of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Edith said, “Phyllis, do you believe in Easter? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is alive and that He wants to live in your heart?”
Phyllis Cross said, “Oh I want to believe that with all of my heart, and I do want Jesus in my life.” Right there, Phyllis Cross prayed and invited Jesus Christ into her heart. For the first time Phyllis Cross did not walk out of a hospital room, she was carried out on the wings of angels.
Two days later, Phyllis Cross came in and Edith said, “Do you know what day it is?”
Phyllis Cross said, “Why Edith, it’s Good Friday.”
Edith said, “Oh, no, for you every day is Easter. Happy Easter Phyllis!”
Well, two days later, on Easter Sunday, Phyllis Cross came into work, did some of her duties and then went down to the flower shop and got some Easter lilies because she wanted to go up to see Edith and give her some Easter lilies and wish her a Happy Easter. When she walked into Edith’s room, Edith was in bed. That big black Bible was on her lap.
Her hands were in that Bible. There was a sweet smile on her face. When Phyllis Cross went to pick up Edith’s hand, she realized Edith was dead.
Her left hand was on John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many mansions. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
Her right hand was on Revelation 21:4, ” And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying; and there shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Phyllis Cross took one look at that dead body, and then lifted her face toward heaven, and with tears streaming down here cheeks, said, “Happy Easter, Edith – Happy Easter!”
Well, Phyllis Cross left Edith’s body, walked out of the room, and over to a table where two student nurses were sitting. She said, “My name is Phyllis Cross. Do you believe in Easter?”
John 20:1 “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.” Jesus has now risen! Praise the Lord! Why did Jesus rise up? So that He could touch each one of us, wipe away our tears, bless us and give us peace. When Mary Magdalene rushed off to meet Peter and other disciples to give them the good news, what did they do?They came to the tomb where Jesus’ bodyhad been kept, they witnessed his absence from the tomb, and then quietly went away home to their families. But what did Mary Magdalene do? She stayed put in the same place, crying and searching for Jesus. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” The disciples went away because of fear; they went back to their families because of theirfear and their love for their own families. On the other hand, Mary also had fear for she too had a family; but it was her love for Jesus Christ that superseded all these fears and she stayed back searching for Jesus and crying for Him. At that time Jesus appeared to her and asksher, John 20:13 “And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.”Mary’s heart was filled with love for Jesus and her eyes were flowing with tears, hence she could not recognize who was speaking to her as she shared her sorrow with Him. John 20:15-16 “Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whomseekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.” Jesus called her by her name “Mary,” immediately she knew it was Him and she wanted to embrace Him, but Jesus forbade her and gave her a big responsibility and a ministry to shoulder.John 20:17“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
We too must remember that when we wait for the Lord, He knows our every situation while we wait upon Him. We cannot imagine how He will plan to use us. Vs. 19 says “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”The disciples feared the Jews and locked themselves up in a room and stayed put there. We have read in 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” When we love our Lord God unconditionally we can overcome fear. Jesus knows our fears, He knows about each one of us, He also knew about Mary Magdalene’s love for Him. John 20:20-22 “And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” Here we see how when Jesus met His disciples, He showed them His wounds first, proclaimedpeace unto them and then breathed on them and said “Receive the Holy Ghost.” We also know that Thomas (who was not there at that time) when he heard of this, said “Unless I see the wounds and put my finger into it, I will not believe”.Herewe see the contrast between believing disciples and unbelieving disciples. When Jesus met Thomas He said to him“Put your finger in my wound and check” while on the other hand He saidto the believing Mary Magdalene “Do not touch me, but go to the others and share this news with them, that I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.” Here, we see how great our God is, for He knows ofthose who believe in Him. Even when Jesus worked miracles in this world, while healing a person HeAsked ‘Do you believe?’ When the person said He believed, Jesus said ‘Go, you are healed.’ He told those who believed in Him in John 20:17 “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” In our life too, it is important for us to believe that Jesus Christ was born for us, He lived for us and died for us; He has risen and now lives forever more. He knows everything about each one of us. If this is our belief, God is with us every minute of the day. He will be with us in all that we do. For this we must love God unconditionally even as He loves us unconditionally. When we love God, He puts away fear from us and also takes away our unbelief.
Moses saw great miracles of God like the parting of the Red Sea; yet He told God “This is not possible for me, I cannot go on.” Immediately God gave him Aaron’s support. Similarly the people who persecuted our Lord Jesus Christ, also were the same people who saw all the miracles that Jesus performed. He healed the broken hearted and set the captives free, He made the lame to walk again and gave sight to the blind. They saw how He fed 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves. They saw how He healed the woman who had a bleeding condition for 12 years. They saw how Zacchaeus was transformed and how his entire family received salvation. They were the people who had seen all these miracles, yet they had unbelief in their hearts and they crucified Him. Jesus breathed freely on His disciples, since He wanted them to be strong and come out of their disbelief in strength from within the closed room. Jesus knew about the fear in their hearts, and He wanted to strengthen their faith, and strengthen them physically with His Holy Spirit. Just as that day God gave Aaron to support Moses, likewise Jesus breathed on his disciples and gave the Holy Spirit to his disciplesto strengthen them and go out and work amongst the people. Aaron may have got tired, but the Holy Spirit will never get tired. Praise the Lord!
Today, our Lord God who isrisen, is a great and mighty God. He has given us His Holy Spirit to take and break away all kinds of hindrances from our lives. Mark 16:1-3 “And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?”The three women debated amongst themselves as to who would help them roll away the stone. Vs. 4 says “And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.” While the women were wondering as tohow to roll away the big stone, they turned and looked up and saw that the stone was already rolled away. However much our troubles, however big our burden; when we think of our Lord God, He will surely take away our burden and troubles and roll them away. Vs. 5-6 “And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”Jesus is risen today and we do not need to worry about anything. Whatever our illness or pain or sorrow, He can take it all away from us. Revelation 1:18 “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Jesus died for us, but today He is risen and He has the keys of Hades and of death.
Our God is a gracious and merciful God.For our sakes He has done a multitude of works in heaven and on earth. He has many blessings in store for us, both in heaven and on earth. We must believe everything that we see on this earth, only then we will believe all the blessings that God has instore for us in heaven above. Nicodemuswas a ruler of the Jews, he watched Jesus’ work keenly and he saw how people were healed, how they were blessed, etc. So one night he came to Jesus and asked Him in John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:9 “Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?”Nicodemus continued to speak with Jesus for a long time and cleared all his doubts. Finally he asked Jesus “How is all this possible?” Nicodemus was a teacher to the Jews, a very learned man, yet he did not understand what Jesus explained to him. Even today, many learned and wise men do not understand the secret of Jesus’ mighty doings. Christians, who know the bible well, dwell amongst Christians, they are in good positionsat work, they know everything apparently, but yet do not understand what it means tobe born again. Apostle Paul says in 1 Timothy 1:7 “Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.” Nicodemus was like this, hence Jesus said to himin John 3:9-10 “Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him,Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?” Nicodemus was a ruler of Jews, He was a learned man in good position, but yet could not understand what Jesus said to Him. Today also the situation is the same, and there are many people in authority whothink they know everythingwhile in reality they know nothing. As Apostle Paul concurs, these are teachers of law, whodo not want to understand who Jesus is, what God’s grace is,what the mercy of God is, and what God’s salvation is all about. There are many priests and people in authority even today, who do not understand this. Rememberthat there is a priest above all priests, the Chief priestwho understands everything about all priests i.e. Jesus who also understood about Nicodemus.
Jesus always desired that the Israelites know the truth and be repentant. Numbers 21:5-7 “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? forthere is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.”When the Israelites disbelieved and were disobedient in the wilderness, God sent snakes in the midst of them to destroy them. God always gives us a chance in life to repent. Numbers 21:8-9 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”God gave the Israelites another chance to repent. He did not desire that they perish, and though He was very angry with them, He still gave them a chance to repent by instructing Moses to set up a brass snake where in whosoever were bitten by the snake had only to look at the brass snake and be saved. Even today the evil one comes only to destroy and to kill. When we sin, we are dead to our Lord God, but our loving God always desires that we repent and be freed from our sins. We saw how God gave the Israelite in the wilderness one more chance to look to the brass snake held high, and be saved.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”Today we have to look to Jesus Christ and be saved. When we believe on the Cross and look to the Cross, we shall be saved. Jesus died so that we may live forever more. God gives every human being a chance to repent and be saved when we look to the Cross. When Jesus lived in this world, He lived a righteous life. His was a life of total righteousness. The work that Jesus did in going from village to village to heal the people, to deliver them from their pain and sorrow etc., these works of Jesus were not known to Pilate’s wife, for she lived in a palace. As a Pastor, just like the work I do through this church, the places I visit to meet people, to pray over them to heal them, to set them free from bondage, etc., no one knows of my work. The night Jesus was caught and produced before Pilate the next day for judgment,Pilate’s wife told him about the dream she had the previous night. Mathew 27:19 “When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.”She said ‘Have nothing to do with this just man’. Similarly, the world need not know of our works, but our good Lord knows of our every good work. If we are righteous, our good Lord knows it and He will judge accordingly. For whom did Jesus bear all these sufferings? If He had asked His Father God, He would have sent Him an army of angels to protect Him. So why did Jesus suffer all these things? Mark 14:65 says “And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.” Jesus suffered all this only for our sake, for He loved us so much. He is a God who is mindful of His children, He is there to wipe our tears, to take away our sorrow and pain. Jesus Christ has purchased this church with His Holy blood and is alive in this place. He walks in this place, hears every prayer made here and is alive, for He rose again on the third day! When we wait upon our Lord, He will answer our every prayer.
Even today, Our Lord Jesus is very close to us. When we believe in Him, He will bless us. This revelation was written about Jesus Christ much before His birth wherein the Psalmist says in Psalms 22:7-18“All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleave to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have in closed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my venture.”Just like the Psalmist had prophesied, Jesus suffered all these things for our sake. Hence we must love our Lord Jesus unconditionally because He first loved us. Remember how God spoke to Pilate’s wife about Jesus’ righteousness in a dream; the very same God will surely speak about our righteousness to His Father God too.
I wish you and your families a very Happy Easter. May the Word bless you all!

Praise the Lord!As the kids at Sunday School progress into learning about the kings of the Bible. This month we learnt about the man after God’s own heart King David. There are multiple characteristics we can learn from King David, such as Humbleness, meekness, confidence, obedience and repentance.
While David was the youngest in his family he was given all odd jobs like tending his father’s sheep to ensuring that he took food for his brothers, who were in the army fighting the Philistines. He ensured all tasks would be done without fail and never compared as to why he needs to do the odd jobs and not his brothers. That teaches us the characteristics of obedience and humbleness.
When the army of Israel was challenged by the Philistines.David stood alone against Goliath and knocked down Goliath that was his confidence in the Lord. There were multiple wars King David fought in all he ensured he follows the counsel of the Lord and when he did he was victorious.
Even when Saul sought to kill David and he was aware about the same, King David had opportunities to kill Saul but he did not kill him. David remained meek unlike Saul who was jealous and did not miss any opportunity to kill King David.
The greatest characteristic of King David was Repentance. When David committed any sin and was chastened by the prophets he would humble himself and repent for his wrong not once would he argue with the servants of God stating he’s the King and heed to the voice of the Lord.
As we further progress into learning about the other Kings in the bible. Do continue to uphold the little ones in your prayers.
