I greet you all in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I believe you are all safe and comfortable in your own homes.
Yet there are many who have no homes of their own.
When Jesus left this world, He told us “In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
In heaven there are many mansions. Let us look at Mount Zion, and with Jesus a hundred and forty four thousand having His Father’s name written on their fore heads. Also let us look at new Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, as a bride prepared for her husband.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it, and the Kings of the earth do bring their honour and glory to it. Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine it, for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.
When we look at the new heavens we will be surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. In the same way our Lord has spoken about different places in heaven in the Bible. If this world which the Lord created in six days is so beautiful, how much more beautiful will be the place which the Lord
prepares for His bride?
All these Old Testament saints shall come to the Lord as His friends. But we will be the bride of the Lord; for we are members of His body, His flesh and His bones. We will be sitting with Jesus on His throne.
Jesus said in Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne.
The bridegroom as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords will spread a carpet of love there. And there shall be glory, honour and praise there.Eccl 10:19 A feast is made for laughter and wine maketh merry.
For the saints who suffered in this world and the servants of God who planted the seeds of the gospel with tears, our God has prepared a feast for them in heaven.Isaiah 25:6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
There will be no more sorrow and no more tears when we will be with our Lord at His table in Heaven.
Song of Solomon 2:4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love.
Moses lived in Egypt as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter in the palace for 40 years. But still he had to make a decision, whether to be in Egypt or with the people of God. The Bible says inHeb 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Elisha also had to decide whether to tend to his father’s fields or follow after the prophet Elijah. The Lord saw how Elisha followed Elijah with his body, mind and soul and that is why the Lord blessed Elisha a double fold. When the Lord called His disciples, they followed Jesus forsaking their boats and mending their nets. So my dearly beloved, it is time for us to take a decision.
Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried;
and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
God bless you all till we meet again!

Amos 4:12 “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel”. Prepare to meet thy God! God wants me to ask you all a question.
How are you preparing yourselves to meet Him? In which position will you meet Him? In which position are you today?
Remember, in heaven there are many positions. When Jesus returns during His second coming, He will bring along many hidden secrets with Him. He will take us all with Him. But, we will not all meet Him in the same position, each one of us will have different positions in heaven. That is what Lord God wants to speak to us today
Revelation 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen”.
When our Lord Jesus will come the second time on this earth, there will be one crowd of those who stripped the Lord Jesus and crucified Him, with the Word. Those who hit Him with sword, those who belted Him, those who spat onto His face, those who placed the crown of thorns on His head, will also see Lord Jesus Christ and will also be a part of this crowd. Let us praise God today and thank Him that we are not a part of this crowd. Now, we will see who crucified Jesus Christ on the Cross. Immediately we think that the Roman soldiers or the Hebrews crucified Him. But in the Holy Scriptures there is an important verse that supports this:Hebrews 6:3-6 “And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame”.The Word says that those who have seen the light, tasted the gift of the Holy Spirit, heard the Word of God, but have now back-slid; they are the ones who crucify God again and again.
Lord’s beloved children, it is important to live a life of high position with God and grow with Him constantly. I have heard many people say “Once upon a time I was a mighty servant of God and I used to preach for hours, read the bible for hours, broke bondages and set many captives free; I used to be constantly entwined with God”. That was, once upon a time and this is a very dangerous sign, my dear brothers and sisters. Rather, year after year our relationship with God must grow from strength to strength. Last year if we prayed for two hours, then this year we must increase that time at least by 15 minutes. Last year if we read the bible for two hours, then this year we must read the bible for two and a half hours. If we don’t increase the time it’s fine, but we must not reduce the time. This is how we would crucify God again and again. When we reduce our worship time with the Lord, our conscience must question us as to whether we are growing or reducing spiritually in the Lord? Remember our Lord God loves us, He is coming back soon, thus when we will meet Him again we should not be amongst the crowd that crucifies Him again and again. We should also not be amongst the crowd who belted Him or spat at His face. We always tend to say “I have not committed any grave sin; I have only smoked beedis and cigarettes”. But we forget that, spiritually we haven’t grown with our Lord. Remember, hardships and sorrow will continue in our lives but we cannot let it affect our spiritual lives. This is the first type of crowd we should not belong to i.e. this crowd that crucifies J esus again and again. But, rather we should grow spiritually stronger with the Word and by the Spirit of God.
The least in the kingdom of heaven
The second type of crowd is like John the Baptist. Matthew 11:11 “Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he”.John the Baptist was a great prophet. There was none like him, not even Moses, Abraham, Elisha, David, Nehemiah or Isaiah. He was greatest prophet on this earth. But in the Kingdom of Heaven, He is the least from all these Prophets. What is the reason for this? Matthew 11:3-4 “And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another? Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see”. John the Baptist was sent by God Himself. Why did God send John? To show and make the path to Heaven while on this earth itself. When Jesus Christ was being baptized by John, it was John who raised both His hands and introduced Jesus to the world by saying “This is the true God and He will lift us up from our sins”. But when trouble came upon John the Baptist and he was captured and put into prison; when pain and sorrow befell him and his hands and legs were chained, he sent a disciple to Jesus Christ to ask Him as written in Matthew 11:3 “And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?” When his situation was changed, John the Baptist who showed the world that ‘Jesus Christ is the way’, doubted within himself and sent two disciples to ask Jesus “Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another”. When such disbelief comes into anyone’s life, he or she will become the least in Heaven. What was the reason for John the Baptist’s disbelief in Jesus? His sorrow, pain and adversity caused this disbelief.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, remember when the same type of sorrow and pain came upon Paul and Silas and how they were chained and put into the prison. What did they do? They praised and glorified God in the prison. Even unto death, they did not disbelieve Him.
Acts 16:25 “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them”. Remember during times of peril, sorrow and pain, those who continue to praise and glorify God and say ‘God is good all the time’, even in their most adverse situations of their life, are worthy to be children of God. Those who do not have a job, or do not have children, those who are starving and are suffering in deep pain and sorrow… when they praise God in these situations, they will be magnified in the sight of God. Yes, we too will have to go through such pain and sorrows in our life; life is not always like sitting in an air conditioned car, or on marble floors under the cool breeze of the fan. In the coming years our country India will face great perils and within the next two to three years, Lord’s children will have to face many sufferings in this world. Many will die a martyrs’ death and bleed for the Lord. At that time, those who withstand the adversity and continue to hold the hand of God and say ‘God is good all the time’, these will be the blessed ones. John doubted Jesus Christ in troubled times and thus he became the least in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:19 “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven”.
What did John the Baptist do to become the least in the kingdom of heaven? He preached about ‘repentance’ and paved the way for Jesus Christ that people would accept Jesus and be saved. But when he himself was in trouble he sent his disciple to ask Jesus “Are you the one?” This is dangerous. When I stand here and preach, I fear the Lord most; I have also to please my wife and children who are sitting here with my preaching. When they hear the Word through me, they must feel and believe in their hearts that what their father is preaching is right and the truth! My life is a true testimony to what I am preaching. I cannot live different lives with different people, in different places. Many a times, in a congregation, some people dance so much with the Spirit of God, but when they go home they are entirely different people. Even in the office they are different. Be careful my dear brothers and sisters – for leading such dual lives will lead you to be the least in the kingdom of heaven. When God sees you from above, you will be a small rat before Him. Whatever happens in life, God is God for us; nothing changes with Him and us.
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, even before King Nebuchadnezzar threw them in the fiery furnace, told the King “the God that we worship, whether He saves us or not, we will continue to worship and bow down to Him alone”. This is a true Christian life, whether we have a job or not, whether we have a child or not, whether we are married or not, whether we have all blessings in our lives or not, we must say “God is good… all the time”. Those who do not do this, but rather murmur and grumble in their hearts, they will become a small servant of God. There goes a story which talks of a mighty servant of God who used to go from place to place and hold big rallies and prayer meetings. When he preached, great miracles happened. He had a driver who feared the Lord a lot. Both died one day and entered the kingdom of God. But in heaven, the position of the driver was much higher than that of the preacher. The driver was sitting next to the throne and told the preacher to bring the book of Mathew’s life story. The Preacher ran to get the book. We should never be in this situation.
Once, I was spiritually carried up into heaven. There I saw the great wings of God, approximately 20 kms in length. Under His wings were different types of chairs of different colours. In between was Jesus Christ. All came and sat under God’s wings, some sat close to Jesus while others sat far away. Yes, there are different positions in the Kingdom of God. It is good to go to Heaven, but remember not in the least position like John the Baptist. Jesus Christ has taught us how to reach the kingdom of heaven. We can thus prepare for our heavenly position while on this earth itself.
A friend of God
We will now see the third type of crowd. Luke 16:22-23 “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom”. Here is a parable of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus. When the rich man and the beggar both died, the beggar goes directly into the bosom of Abraham. In this world, the beggar suffered a lot, he was always hungry and in poverty. His body was full of sores; his family had forsaken him altogether. In spite of the sufferings in this world, when he died he reached the bosom of Abraham directly. What did he do? In spite of living a sorrowful and poverty stricken life, what is the reason that the beggar reached the bosom of Abraham directly? The beggar had some very good qualities and was good hearted. He never murmured or grumbled in his life through all his sorrows and pain; he never cursed the rich man. He was never angry with the rich man while he was eating sumptuous food while he was starving. He never thought that he was a Christian and so was I. He also never grumbled against God. Another good thing about the beggar was that he was lying in front of the rich man’s dwelling; the rich man was always dressed in rich attire and whenever the beggar came to him for alms he did not give him alms yet he did not drive him away. This was because the beggar used to work in the rich man’s house when he was a youth; hence he was not driven away. Another reason was that the rich man had many dogs of different breeds and they were his friends, they moved around freely in the rich man’s house. Since the rich man did not say anything to the poor man, his dogs too did not bark at him and drive him away. The place where he worked, he lay down at the door step, even then Lazarus was never angry with God. Not once did he think with pride, I worked for several years at this house; they haven’t given me bonus, or any other benefits. But the poor man’s heart was filled with gratitude for the Lord. Thus, at the time of his death, the angel of God came and took him to the heavenly
kingdom and directly into the bosom of Abraham.Luke 16:22-23 “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom”. So dear brothers and sisters, we must desire to go directly to Abraham’s bosom. Who is Abraham? James 2:23 “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God”. Abraham was called ‘the Friend of God’. How will friends behave? Friends will always try to meet and speak to each other for hours.
Since Abraham is a friend of God, his place in heaven is besides the throne of God and in his bosom is the poor man. One day God came to Abraham and spoke to him and asks him who this is? Abraham tells God, he is my friend Lazarus. Thus Lazarus too must have shook hands with God. So imagine, the poor man became God’s friend in heaven, because of Abraham. Isn’t this a great position to be in?
Brethren of God
The Word says in Proverbs 17:17 “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity”.Who is bigger than a friend? A brother… A blood relation… John 15:15 “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you”. Jesus said to his disciples “hereafter I will call you my friends”. This is not all, it is better to live as brothers than friends.Mathew 23:8 “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren”. Everyone is my brother and sister. In John 15:15 Jesus calls everyone His friend. In Mathew 23:8, Jesus calls them brothers and sisters. Let us read Hebrews 2:11 “For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren”.Here Jesus has not hesitated to call us His brethren. When we will meet Jesus, it should not be as them who crucified Him or as John the Baptist who is least in the kingdom of God. But we must meet Jesus as His brethren. But, is this enough? Mark 3:31-32 “There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee”.Here in this passage we see Jesus is sitting in a synagogue and preaching the Word; at that time his mother and his brother comes searching for Him. Jesus asks “who is my brother, who is my sister and who is my mother?” After Jesus says these words, even his own blood relations could not come close to him. His brother was standing outside the synagogue and calling out to him. So when Jesus comes for the second time in all His glory, we shouldn’t meet him as a friend, or as brother and sister. Then how must we meet him?
Children of God
John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” . Romans 8:16 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God”. When we meet God again or see him, we should not be caught in this little position. We should not meet him as a friend. None of us are able to be a friend of Abraham’s stature. Hebrews 11:40 “God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect”.
A friend or a brother also is not complete. There is one more relationship – that of a son and a daughter. We are the inheritance of God the Father. On this earth, the property of the father is shared by his sons and daughters. If it has to go to others, one has to make a ‘will’. But, for our own children we need not make a will, as automatically all property goes to them. Thus, we have to become the children of God and live a righteous and perfect life. Jesus says inJohn 21:5 “Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No”.He calls his disciples “friends”, in John 15:15 and “children” in John 21:5. When you and I meet Jesus during His second coming, we must be called His children. To become His children, we have to believe in His name and have faith in Him. Those who believe in Him have the right to be called His children. When we become His children, then He will become our Father.
When we become His children, God the Father expects something from us. What is it that He expects? The Hebrew culture has a tradition; when the father becomes old and about to die, He calls his son and asks him to prepare him a meal, when the meal is eaten the father blesses the son. Genesis 27:1-4 “And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die”. In this passage Jacob calls his son Esau and tells him, I am going to die and I want to bless you. Similarly, when God wishes to bless us, we should give Him some food. The same God asks his disciples in John 21:5 “Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No”.
The Father desires that children feed Him. Today, if we become God’s children, He will accept food from us.
At the Cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ cried ‘I thirst’. In the Old Testament in the book of Hosea, we see that this thirst is not the thirst that would be quenched by water and the hunger which would be satisfied by food. Rather in Isaiah 53, it is written that it is spiritual hunger and thirst. If we are God’s children, then we need to feed Him food. What food does God like? Chicken Biryani or Lamb Biryani? No, our God is spiritually hungry. So how do we quench this hunger? By bringing souls to His saving grace.
When even one soul is saved, there is rejoicing in heaven and our Jesus is satisfied with us. When we truly fulfill God’s desires by bringing a perishing soul to His saving grace, our God is the most satisfied. He desires nothing else from us. His thirst and hunger is only quenched when we bring a soul to His saving grace.
We do not become His children only by saying “I am His daughter” or “I am His son”, rather according to John 21:5 “Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No”. Today God is asking us “Children, do you have food for me to eat?”
Just imagine, He is the creator of Heaven and Earth and He is the one who made bread. He is the one who also said “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from my mouth”. Remember, Jesus fasted for 40 days, but He did not feel hungry. Today, He is asking each one of us “What do you have for me to eat?” Yes, you may give regular offerings, 10% tithes. It is good and all this is required, but more than all this His first love is when we bring perishing souls to His saving grace.
How many of us will commit ourselves to doing this? Not by saying “I am His daughter” or “I am His son” do we become His children, but when we fulfill his cry “Children, do you have food for me to eat?” This is His heart’s desire i.e. bringing one soul to His saving grace whenever it is possible. Yes, let us commit ourselves to Him and say that we will bring the broken-hearted, the thirsty and hungry to His saving grace.
1 John 3:1-3 “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure”.
Dearly beloved, we are all like His children today, but in the future we do not know whether we will remain the same.
Be one like Jesus Christ
When Jesus comes again, He will come in all His glory and there is a way that we can meet him. There is a position in which we can meet Him. Ephesians 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”.
When we will meet Jesus, there will be a crowd of those who crucified Him, another crowd will be like John the Baptist, least in the kingdom of heaven. The third crowd will meet Him as a ‘friend’ while the fourth crowd will meet Him as a ‘brethren’. The fifth crowd will be that of His ‘children’ and the sixth crowd is the one like Jesus Christ who lived a fulfilling and righteous life on this earth. This is the most important position for the Lord for it is a life blossomed as a rose. Thus, if you and I live this life, we can be counted as His children.
Example: There is an owner of a house and when he comes home and is hungry, he will not serve and eat himself. His servant will have to serve him. Then, there is another type of owner who comes into the house and locks it from within. The servant works in the field and comes home and when he knocks on the door the owner does not open it immediately, rather he may take an hour or two, or he may open the door at night. Third comes a friend, who comes and knocks at the door; when it is not opened he screams from out “Peter, this is your friend James, open the door!” His friend immediately comes and opens the door. He settles on the sofa in the hall and asks for snacks and tea. He is immediately served with the same. Now comes the fourth type; a brother, he pushes the door and comes right till the kitchen. Those who are related by ties of blood, have the right to enter the kitchen. Next comes the son; he kicks open the door and goes directly to kitchen and eats what he wants and satisfies himself. Lastly comes the wife, who has all the rights in the house and also has the right to the body, thus the two become one. This relationship cannot be found with a servant, friend, brother or son.
Amos 4:12 “Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel”. Lord God asks the same question again “Are we prepared to meet our God?” When He comes, we will all meet Him, but it is important to know in which position we will meet Him… as a servant, friend, brother, son or a loving bride?
A bride of God
What should we do to become a good bride? We should have wisdom to come out of our sins, keep our God happy with our good deeds, be righteous in everything we do, we should always be anointed and our cup must be overflowing with oil. We must always be entwined with our God. When a couple is to be married there is an agreement with each other, they have to fulfill it till the time they are married. You and I should be like this with our Lord God. Those who love God immensely, in turn God will love them too. In the kingdom of heaven as we read in
Matthew 6:20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal”.
The roads are paved with gold and the streets are made of gem stones. Whatever we earn in this earth, we will leave behind, but our treasure must be stored up in heaven. Every help we give for our ministry work it is all accounted in our name in heaven. Hence, remember, our position should be that of a bride ready to meet her groom at marriage, when Jesus Christ comes into this world again.
May God bless us all through this Word!
