Dearly beloved in Christ Jesus, may the blessings of our resurrected Lord be with you all and your family, today and always.

The Lord loves us with an everlasting love. Therefore, by His everlasting love, He has redeemed you and me. 1 Peter 2:23 “who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.”  Peter says that though Jesus was terribly insulted while He carried the Cross, He did not hold any grudge against the people by saying, ‘wait and watch when I rise again after three days, I will punish you.’ No, Jesus did not threaten the people in any way, but rather He continued to pray to His Father saying ‘Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.’ Jesus wholeheartedly surrendered His life on the Cross without a murmur, so that we may be saved and become righteous by His death.

Our God is a good God. He is a God who forgives and delivers us from every type of sin. Psalm 86:5 “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You”.  This is a Psalm written even before Jesus came into this world and His quality was very clearly described in this Psalm. It is the same quality that we see on the Cross when Jesus was crucified; a good God who was merciful, even unto the time of his death. Jesus completed everything on the Cross; now the only thing we have to do is to come to Him, confess our sins, and ask for mercy with a humble heart. Then only, our Good Lord will welcome and forgive us with an open heart.

Unfortunately, the people of those times did not recognize these qualities of Jesus, for they did not know Him at all. Such a God was taken to Pilate for judgment. Mathew 27:19 “While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying, “Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.” Pilate’s wife told Pilate ‘Have nothing to do with this just man.’ God could have appeared in Pilate’s dream and informed him directly, but God chose to speak to Pilate’s wife, and she, in turn, told Pilate her dream. The important point to take note of here is that, ‘Pilate listened.’ In our lives too, many a time God shows our wrongdoings, not to us, but to His chosen ones. At that time, it is very important we understand that this correction is coming from the Lord, and we must obey His voice and mend our ways accordingly.

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfil.” Yes, the Son of God, Jesus, came in His human form to fulfill every prophecy in the Holy Scriptures and has gained victory from our illness, sickness, bondage, and pain.

Prov 8:17 “I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me.” Hence, dear children of God, do not only verbally say that you love the Lord; but prove that you love Him, in your words, actions, and your deeds.  Love the Lord with your whole heart, mind, and soul and cling to Him alone, and obey His voice.

Today, our God has not orphaned us; rather He has given us His Holy Spirit. We have hope and truth in Jesus Christ through the Word which reassures us every time that HE will be forever with us till the end of time.

Let this Easter be a time for us to seek our Lord wholeheartedly so that the peace and joy of God be with each one of us and our families.

Praise the Lord! I was suffering for a long time with shortness of breath, profuse sweating, and an inability to sleep or lie down. I thought this was caused due to a possible rise in my blood pressure. I kept taking my blood pressure tablet, but when I went to the Doctor for a check-up, he did an X-ray and found there was a fluid build-up in my lungs. I had no hope of surviving this. After watching Pastor Saroja’s program on Shubh Sandesh TV, I called the prayer line, and requested prayers for the same. Praise God, I started feeling better after that. I showed my condition to 2-3 different Doctors, and visited different hospitals again for a check-up. To my surprise, my X-ray report showed all the fluid dried up. I had a severe headache too, and Lord Jesus healed me of the same after prayer. I give all glory to Lord Jesus for his wondrous work. I sincerely thank ROS Ministry for praying for me.

Praise be to our Lord Jesus. During the period of complete lockdown, I was undergoing severe pain in my right-side lower jaw & I also had a painful tonsil on the same right side, due to which I was unable to eat. It was causing me unbearable pain to even open my mouth.  I called up Pastor Saroja and told her of the matter. She advised me to do certain things and assured me of her prayers alongside. By God’s grace alone, I got healed and the pain vanished. I give all glory to Lord Jesus for healing me, and I also thank Pastor Saroja for her precious advice and fervent prayers.

Praise the Lord. My eyes were itching continuously for two days; and when I rubbed my eyes, they started burning severely. The next morning when I got up, I applied the blessed prayer oil. That very same day, my eyes were healed and I never felt that itching or burning sensation thereafter. I thank my Lord Jesus Christ for healing me and taking care of me all the time. I also thank our dear Pastor Saroja for her fervent prayers for me and my family.

Praise the Lord! During the period of lockdown, I developed a severe body ache, stomach pain, fever, cold and headache, and the pain was unbearable. As the pandemic was all around, it got me worried, and I told this matter to Pastor Saroja. Pastor assured me of her prayers and gave me some advice. After three days, all the symptoms vanished and I completely recovered. I give all glory, honour and praise to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for healing me. I would also like to thank my dear Pastor for her fervent prayers for me. Thank you Jesus.

Praise the Lord! My mother-in-law was admitted to hospital due to a low sodium level in her body. She was in a very critical condition, not in her senses, and unable to recognise any of our family members. We all got scared looking at her health, and I called Pastor Saroja and told Pastor about her condition. Pastor assured me of her prayers, and by the grace of God and with Pastor Saroja’s prayers, within two days she started recovering slowly, first by opening her eyes and coming to her senses. She began recognising us, and within a few days she got discharged from the hospital and came home. I give all glory and thanks to our LORD Almighty for healing my mother-in-law, and I also thank our dear Pastor Saroja for her prayers.

The children of a Christian school decided to celebrate Easter with a party where all would be invited.

The whole class donated money and the teacher bought a lot of sweets, Easter eggs, pastries, etc. However, he said that there were too many of them, and he did not have a place at home to store them all.

The teacher suggested that some of the students take sweets and keep at home. Everyone raised their hands, because everyone wanted to keep the bags of candy at home. Each of you deserves to do this, but we need the most honest of you who will not eat a single candy until the celebration day. The children asked how they were going to make sure no one eats them. The teacher took out a small bottle of blue powder from his pocket. He said it was the tastiest thing in the world. The recipe for this powder is passed down from generation to generation in the teacher’s family. And this powder can determine the honesty of anyone. The teacher suggested that the children put the bottle in their pockets and keep it for sometime one by one during the day, so that he could understand who can be entrusted with keeping the sweets.

While each child kept the bottle, childish curiosity made everyone open and taste a pinch of the powder. It turned out to be just sweet. By the end of the day, only a pinch of it remained at the bottom of the bottle. The teacher asked who ate it, how to figure out who was the honest one now? All the children began to say that it wasn’t them and that they did not know where it had disappeared.

At this moment, one girl pointed to her desk mate. She cried out that he had blue hands, which meant he had eaten the sweet powder.  The boy cried and said that he had not eaten the powder. And his hands are blue from a broken pen that stained with the ink.

Then the teacher asked her-if she did not eat the powder, then how does she know that it is sweet. After all, the teacher did not talk about its sweetness. The girl opened her mouth in surprise, and everyone saw that her tongue was blue. The teacher smiled. This is not a magic powder, this is powdered sugar, to which I added food coloring. The children asked, if the powder not magic, then how will it show the most honest. The teacher asked the whole class to stick out their tongues. Everyone except the blue-handed boy had no blue color on his tongue. The teacher called the boy over and told the class that the powder had indicated who was the most honest. Only this student’s tongue is pink, since he has not tasted even a pinch of powder. Therefore, we will entrust him with sweets, and we won’t worry that he will eat them before the party.

Each one of us has to remember that in every work that we do for our Lord we should be honest, Because no matter how difficult a situation we find ourselves in, only honesty and truthfulness towards our Lord will help us find the right way out.

Deuteronomy 2:7 “For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.” 

God is always with us, and because He is with us, we lack for nothing. He opens the windows of heaven and showers us with His blessings. Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years, and it was God who provided them with food, water, and shelter throughout their journey in the wilderness. Their clothes were never dirty with sweat, and their shoes never tore, for God was with them as a cloud by day and a pillar of light by night. Both, physically and spiritually, God fed the Israelites in the wilderness. God desired the Israelites to be strong, for He knew that they had to fight their battles with several countries – against their kings and rulers. God fed the Israelites manna from heaven, and gave them the living waters. They feared for nothing and lacked nothing, as long as God was with them through the forty years. He strengthened them so that they could fight battles and face challenges.

Unfortunately, the Israelites were ungrateful people, and they never appreciated God for what He had done for them. They did not remember all the good things God had done for them and how He took care of them for forty years in the wilderness.

Deuteronomy 2:7 “For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.” The Word says ‘The Lord God has blessed you in everything, in every work of your hand through the wilderness. The Lord was with you and you lacked nothing.’ God wanted the Israelites to be testimonies, so that they would tell others how God took care of them, and how they lacked for nothing in the wilderness.

Even if we have forgotten to thank God for all His mighty doings in our life, we must be testimonies and tell people of all of God’s great doings in our life. We must also thank God and not forget His grace upon us. Exodus 14:11-12 “And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.” The Israelites did not bring to remembrance, how, when they were in Egypt, none of the diseases that destroyed the Egyptians, touched the Israelites. They also forgot the mighty wondrous works of God, and they spoke against the Prophet of God, murmuring and grumbling all the time. They forgot quickly, that the Lord God had released them from bondage, and delivered them from the hands of the enemy by miraculously taking them across the Red Sea, and bringing them out of the wilderness.

As we read in Deuteronomy 2:7, God wanted the Israelites to remember how He had blessed the works of their hands, fed them with manna and living waters, and brought them out of bondage. God wanted the Israelites to give this testimony, and let everyone know the truth. God did not keep the Israelites hungry and thirsty, neither did He deliver the Israelites to wild animals or into the enemy’s hands. God permitted none of the diseases that destroyed the Egyptians to touch His people. God wanted them to speak the truth and tell the people of all these good works that He had done for them.

David says in Psalm 23:1 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” God took care of everything, and lovingly brought the Israelites out of Egypt. The people had no worries and no anxieties about anything; for their Good Shepherd Lord was always with them. They did not lack for anything in the wilderness. They were never the ‘tail,’ rather they were always the ‘head,’ in the wilderness.

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Blessed are those whose God is the Lord. The Israelites were blessed people. Yet, they forgot all of God’s blessings quickly, and murmured and grumbled against God and His Prophet. God told the Israelites to speak the truth to the people, and to testify of all the good works done in their lives.

Testify the truth with your mouth, and do not lie. Tell the people of all the miracles you have experienced. Likewise, we must all remember the good works that the Lord God has done in our lives. Every day, He has provided us with all of our needs, and has shown His mercy and grace upon us. He has allowed us to lack for nothing, and has blessed us with everything we need. Like the Israelites, we must not grumble about any lack we perceive, but rather we must always praise and thank God for His abundance in our lives. The God, who has given us everything, can also fulfill the little lack in our lives, so why must we grumble? We must only thank God for all His goodness, grace, and mercy in our lives.

Problems come into our lives to strengthen us, and not to weaken us. Proverbs 6:2 “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” God must never tell us that we been trapped by the words of our own mouth, just as when the Israelites grumbled to Moses, saying ‘Did you bring us here to die? Were there no graveyards in Egypt?’ What happened to this generation of Israelites? They all perished on the way, in the wilderness itself. We should continue to thank God for all that He has given us, and all that He has planned to give us; for all the blessings we have seen, and for all that we are yet to see.

God’s people have their own battles, but God will fight those battles for them. For those of us who live for the Lord, there are many spiritual battles in our lives. Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” While there will be great battles that we have to fight, remember that God will always be with us, and He will always go before us. Hence, we must never grumble and curse God for small things we lack for in our lives; for the fruit of the curse is terrible, and we will be trapped within the snares of our own mouth. We may never understand God’s ways in our life, but remember He loves us.

God asks us to carry His Cross and follow Him. Everyone’s Cross is different, and each person has to carry their own Cross. There is no short cut in life for this. God alone can give us victory in our battles. He equips us to fight them. He even trains us for them. He checks our faith and tests our heart, to see whether we have gratitude within our hearts for all the works that He has done for us, and also for undone works in our lives. We must continually thank God, only then will we be blessed.

Psalm 138:4 “All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.” When the great kings must thank and praise God, how much more must we believers and people of God thank and praise Him? Through all our battles, we should never lose faith; rather we must remain strengthened, for it is then that God’s hand of grace is mighty upon us. We must know that the devil will be defeated, and success will be ours; for God will make us victorious. Psalm 18:1-3 “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.” When we continually sing praises to God, He will give us victory. Our job is only to praise and glorify God’s name in our lives.

Our mother and father will forget us, but our God will never forget nor forsake us. Rebekah loved her son Jacob very dearly. Yet, there came a time when Rebekah told Jacob to run away from home, for she knew of his brother, Esau’s plan to kill him. Jacob did not know what to do, for until that day, his mother had taken care of him; so much so that she had lied to his father Isaac, to give his brother’s (Esau) blessings to Jacob. After the deed, when Esau was aware of what had happened, Rebekah was afraid for Jacob’s well-being, and she asked him to run away from Esau. Jacob did not know what to do, or where to go. Here we see that his mother forsook him, but God did not forsake him. God was with him all the time, and He gave him victory in the end.

Similarly, the people of this world – our family, friends or acquaintances, may forsake us; but God will never leave our hands nor forsake us. We must heartily continue to thank God in our lives, and for everything we need to thank God and show gratitude in our hearts. Micah 7:15 “According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.” When we trust our God; even as God graced the Israelites with His mighty works, the same God will perform His mighty works in our lives. God separated the Red Sea, walked with the Israelites in the wilderness, and performed great miracles in their lives. Likewise, even in our lives, if the devil looms up against us as the Red Sea, God will rise up for us, and destroy the enemy with His mighty hands. He is the same God who manifests marvellous works in our lives. Hence, we need to thank God continually.

Our God has done marvellous works, and He will continue to do greater works in our lives. Just as God worked in Jacob’s life, He will work in our lives too. Jacob saw marvellous things in his life after he left his home and fled away. Genesis 28:12-15 “And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.” Here we see God’s love for Jacob, for He did not leave Jacob’s hand, even when his mother left his hands. Just as our great Lord did not desert the Israelites, and performed wondrous works in their lives, so also had He done marvellous works in Jacob’s life.

He is the same unchanging God today, who will work in our lives too. We may fall several times, for we may have disobeyed God many a times just, even as the Israelites did. Yet, remember that God forgave the Israelites, and He did not forsake them. In our lives, we must always be satisfied with what God has given us – our parents, our spouse, and our children. When we are dissatisfied in life, we hurt our God, and that is when we fall.

We know that one of the angels in heaven was dissatisfied with God in spite of being given a high status of authority in heaven. The angel desired for more, and wanted to be higher than God in heaven. As a result, he was thrown down from heaven into this world, and is now a fallen angel in the world, existing as Satan, an enemy of God. What was the reason for Satan’s downfall? It was dissatisfaction.

Always be satisfied with what we have received from God. In the Garden of Eden, God created everything, and finally created man and woman. He kept them in the Garden to enjoy his creations. God kept only one command for them – not to eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree. If Adam and Eve had been satisfied with everything God had given them in the garden, they would not have disobeyed Him. But, it was dissatisfaction that brought disobedience into their lives. They did the opposite of what God told them, and they ate the fruit of the forbidden tree, and were consequently thrown out of the garden. Remember, each one of us is blessed according to God’s will. When we are dissatisfied, we tend to disobey God and start grumbling and murmuring against Him. We must only be thankful for His love and plans in our lives. Psalm 121:8 “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

When we are satisfied with God’s blessings in our lives, the Lord shall preserve us till the end, even as God promised Jacob that He would be with him till the end. God’s promise says ‘If you walk through the waters I will be there. If you walk through the fire, I am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ Even as God was with the Israelites, He will also be with us and give us victory. This does not mean that we will not have to cross the water, or face the fire. God will strengthen us through all of our trials, and give us victory.

Deuteronomy 28:6 “Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.” God will be with us in our every going out and coming in. When God comes in His second coming, He will bring us a different gift – His crown. But before that, His blessing for us is to live in peace and harmony in this world. He will help us to lift our heads up high and live. He is the God who will give us victory.

Jacob made a promise to God in Genesis 28:20-22 “And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.” That is how Jacob pledged his vow for God.

What is the promise of God for His people? In Isaiah 62:11 “Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.” God’s children will receive a special gift from God. For those who do good works for God, who toil with His servants, who are there at times of sorrow and pain with God’s children, who work for the Lord, who serve the Lord, who bring offerings to Him and donations for His works; for them, when God comes, He will bring their reward along with Him, for all these good works done for Him.

Jesus has already sacrificed His life on the Cross and demonstrated His love for us. We also know that before God comes again, He will from time to time give His blessings to His children in this world itself. Hence, Jacob says in Genesis 28:20-22 “And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:  And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.”

God will never change, and once promised, He will never go back on His Word. We must strive to reach His Kingdom by doing good works for Him in this world. God’s blessings will come upon us from time to time. He will never leave us nor forsake us, for He is the same God who was with the Israelites in the wilderness for forty years. Will He ever leave our hands? Never! If we do not forget His goodness, He will never forget His promise for us. Deuteronomy 2:7 “For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.” We must be a good testimony for the Lord, and keep repeating them over and over again. Always acknowledge all the good works of God in our lives.

Revelation 7:17 “For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” The God who has given us the living waters and heavenly manna, He alone will take care of us. He only can wipe away our tears, He alone is our deliverer, and He alone is in our midst to rescue us and lift us up. Isaiah 54:6-8 “For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.” God will test us for some time, but He is gracious to forgive our sins. Whenever we cry out to Him, He will never turn away from us, for He is gracious to forgive.

We were once orphans and great sinners, but today we are not alone. God sacrificed His son Jesus for our sakes, and so we are washed by His precious blood, and we are now His family. Even for a second, God may turn His face away from us, but with great love He will once again lift us up. If we lose God’s fencing, we will be destroyed; even as when Job’s fencing was removed, and he suffered grievously thereafter. At such times we must never leave God or run away from Him. Even as Job did till the end, we must also hold on to God’s steadfast love. Then God will once again with great love, lift us up in His arms. Hence, we must thank and praise God in every situation.

Martha and Mary said to Jesus ‘if you were here, our brother would not die.’ Jesus replied ‘Did not I know, but you must see my glory.’ Though Lazarus was dead for three days, it did not matter, for God raised him up from the dead subsequently. Similarly, even if we are given into the enemies hands for three days, our God can deliver us.

When Saul persecuted God’s children, what did God question him? ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ Here we see God’s love for us. We must never think ourselves to be orphans, for God is alive for us.

David fought many wars and had many enemies. Now He was old and weary. David feared that if more wars came into his life, he would not be able to survive them, and he prayed to God in Psalm 71:9 “Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.”

1 Kings 1:1-4 “Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat. Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat. So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.” David was old in age, and his body and nerves had become weak and weary. His people believed that if a young woman were to be brought to him, David would regain His vitality and be kept warm. The Word talks about several beautiful women who were brought in to select the one who would take care of King David, and keep him warm. David was strengthened physically, but he did not know any woman, neither was he interested in them. David did not sin, and to him these women were even as ministering angels by his side.

Every work of God must be a testimony in our lives, and we must always strive to live spiritually for the Lord. Hence, let our hearts always be filled with gratitude and thankfulness for the Lord!

Praise the Lord and Easter wishes to all my readers who are spread far wide with hopes and prayers that all of you are in the best of health by God’s abundant grace.

Days are just passing by and normalcy seems to be seeping in, but the news we hear in Mumbai and around the world says something else altogether. As you must have read in the news that Covid cases are on a rise in Mumbai and Mira Road and Bhayender have been declared as hotspots.

The residents in our Home have not physically met their family members for a long time due to restrictions laid down by the Government, but God only has kept all of them at peace and supplying all their needs till date. All Glory to our Jehovah Jireh, Jesus Christ!

Do continue to be safe and take care of all your family members be it of any age group as Covid is not in a mood to spare anyone who does not take precautions!

Wishing all my readers a Very Happy Easter and may our Resurrected Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ keep all of you under His mighty shadow today and always!

Praise the Lord! Wishing all our readers a Happy Easter. As we celebrate the festival we are blessed to be covered under the mighty hand of God.

Good Friday reminds me of a short story on sacrifice. There once lived a king who got the news that his neighboring country was planning an attack on his country. In his kingdom, there lived an old lady who on hearing this news went to the royal palace. She met the king and said that she wanted her only son to take part in the battle. The king was stunned to see the patriotism of the woman. He gave her the permission.  The old lady’s son sacrificed his life for the motherland. When the old lady went to the palace weeping, the king tried to console her. She said, “I am not crying because my son died, but because I had only one son. Now I won’t be able to give any help to the kingdom at the time of crisis.”

Our heavenly father gave his only son which was the best to save us from our sins and infirmities. There was and never can be any better sacrifice than this. Let us remember to be thankful to our Heavenly Father for the greatest gift of all to mankind.

Unlike the old lady we do not need another son to fight back the enemy in times of different crisis for God’s only Son was enough to set us free from all sins.

Let us kids and elders never forget that because of the supreme sacrifice made on Good Friday we are blessed and have the joy of celebrating Easter and the choice to be forgiven and set free from our sins.
