Praise the Lord and a very Happy Harvest to all my readers – my brothers and sisters in Christ. May this coming year be a fruitful one in every aspect of your life, and I pray that your life will be a blessing to everyone around you.

Psalm 36:8-9 “They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.”

When we abide with our Lord Jesus, He will bless us in abundance in every possible way. We will be blessed with not only material things, but also spiritual blessings. The Lord will make His light shine upon us in such a way that even though the world will be covered in darkness, the people of the world will know that we are the children of the Light of this world; for His Light will shine through us.

Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” When the Lord starts working in our lives, our lives will change for the better, so drastically, and in many different ways, beyond human comprehension. When there is no hope, He will give us hope. He will make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, because our God is a God who can make impossible things possible.

Psalm 121:4 “Behold, He who keeps Israel, shall neither slumber nor sleep.” David knew that our Lord God watches over His people always. He understood that the Lord knew his every weakness and strength. Our God is alive, and He is a God who will strengthen the weak and the weary. Hence, we must rejoice in the Lord God in every situation of our life. The Bible has several examples where mighty men of God were weak at a certain point in their lives. These men of God experienced the mighty Hand of God at this point, when they were at their lowest. The evil one will certainly bring weakness in our physical bodies, and mentally, and emotionally, in our thoughts too. But we must have faith that our God knows our ways, and He will strengthen us in time so that we do not fall prey to the devil.

2 Thessalonians 2:17 “Comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” When we stand for the Lord, He will establish us in every good word and work. God will bless us with strength, peace and authority to live our life with our heads lifted high up. We will face the world and every situation in life, when we please our God; else, even the smallest of failures will break us.

Let the coming year reap a rich harvest in each of our lives. Trust and hold on to the living words of the Holy Bible, and pray in faith; and every wilderness of your life will be turned fruitful.

Praise the Lord! As per airport rules, when I flew out of UAE, I had to take an RT-PCR test which came out negative. Subsequently, in Sharjah, I was tested 3 times – all results came negative. However, when we crossed the Sharjah border, we were accommodated with three people in one room, where one person was found positive. Due to him, I was tested positive twice, and I was transferred to the isolation centre where four people were kept in one room. a result of this, I contracted a cold and fever. Immediately I called up our dear Pastor and requested prayer for my recovery, and that I should get a separate room. They were also not giving us any medicine. Pastor told me not to worry, and that I would get well, for she would pray for me. Immediately the same day I was shifted to a separate room and got both reports negative. All glory to God. Thank You Jesus for answering your daughter’s prayer. I heartily thank our dear pastor for continuously praying for my health and recovery. Thank You, Jesus, for this great miracle.

Praise The Lord. We found a bat roaming on the balcony of our house, so we shut the window, and later it went out. This same thing kept happening repeatedly in weekly intervals. I told this matter to Pastor Saroja, and she suggested we block all observed gaps. Pastor assured us of her prayers and relieved us by saying nothing would happen by the grace of God. I then blocked all the gaps. Yet, a few days ago, again the same bat entered our kitchen balcony. Once again, we shut the window, and by God’s grace, we were successful in exterminating the bat. I give all glory to Lord Jesus for giving us the strength and courage to kill the bat and for saving us from this danger. I also thank Pastor Saroja for her valuable advice and her sincere and fervent prayers for me and my family always.

Praise the Lord. For the past few months, the work pressure in my organisation was increasing with each passing day. Thinking of a job change in the pandemic situation was scary. Unexpectedly, one day I received a call directly from the HR department of a reputed firm for a new job opportunity. I told Pastor Saroja of this, and she assured me of her prayers. By the grace of our Almighty God, I cleared the interview and was blessed with a new job with a good pay increase. I thank Pastor for her continuous prayers and guidance to me always. Surely there is no lock-down that can stop us from receiving blessings from our Almighty God. Thank You Jesus for this beautiful blessing in my life.

Praise the Lord! One morning when I woke up, I had a slight stomach ache and loose motions. I drank the prayer oil in water in faith, asking God to heal me. By God’s grace, I was immediately and completely healed. I give all praise to Lord Jesus for healing me. I also thank Pastor Saroja for praying over the prayer oil.

Praise the Lord! My dad was under a lot of pressure regarding the loan he had taken for his business purpose. He was unable to pay back money to his creditors, so he tried to commit suicide by consuming 90 sleeping tablets. We hospitalized him immediately. The Doctor had told us it would be difficult for him to survive; and even if he survived, he would not be able to recognize anyone. Surgery was done, and it was now the twelfth day that my dad was unconscious. On this day we saw Pastor Saroja’s message and immediately called to request prayer. The very next day my father regained consciousness. However, as the doctor had told us earlier, my dad was unable to recognize anyone or talk or move any part of his body. Once again, I contacted the Rose of Sharon Church Prayer Tower for prayer. Praise God, the very next day, my father started recognizing us, though he could not yet talk or move. As we continued requesting prayer for him every day, God would do miracles daily, and Dad’s health condition kept improving. He started talking, walking, and finally eating on his own. Within four days of regaining consciousness, my dad was discharged from the hospital. We thank Lord Jesus and give Him glory for saving my dad’s life and completely healing him. Special thanks to the Rose of Sharon Prayer Tower for praying for my dad.

In a small field a boy and his grandfather are digging the soil. They are turning it over, smashing the lumps, preparing it for the year’s sowing. It’s hard work, but necessary for the bountiful harvest they will receive from all their efforts.

The old man is well into his 70’s and is panting a fair bit, and with every fork load that turns, sweat drips from his forehead, but he doesn’t complain.

His grandson is 17 years old; fit, strong, and able. He curses with every fork load that’s turned, then standing there, he huffs and puffs and complains before sticking the fork in, once again cursing as he works.

After a while, the young grandson notices how much more his grandfather has done than himself.

“How come grandfather you have achieved more than me when you’re so much older?,” he asks.

The reply wasn’t what he expected… The grandfather said, “The thinking about it, that’s the HARD bit; doing it, that the EASY bit”

The grandson is taken aback a little, so the grandfather continues, “When you spend your time thinking how hard this is, or how much more to go, or my back aches; that’s the hard bit. It is far harder thinking about all these things, and getting caught up in a whirlwind of your own thoughts, rather than it is to actually do the physical work in the first place. While you stand after ever fork load and allow your mind to dwell on the negative, I have done another three more fork loads than you have. I only look at what I have done which is always pleasing and positive.”

Likewise, in our lives if we concentrate only on the negatives and the things we have not received after praying, we will never be happy, and life will feel like a burden. We will be unhappy, and even make people around us unhappy. But if in everything we give thanks to the Lord and be happy in whatever little we have, life will feel like a blessing and we will be satisfied, and we will spread happiness all around.

Philippians 4:11-13 “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Luke 21:1-4 “And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all. For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.” Here was a poor widow whose fame is recorded in the Holy Scriptures for the offering she made of two copper coins, the last of all that she had. Jesus Christ himself said, ‘the rich have given out from their abundance, whilst this poor widow has put all that she had.’

There was a beggar woman who used to beg in a village every day. Whatever she earned during the day by begging, she used to cook and feed her family with those alms. People gave her alms in different forms – pulses, jowar, rice, wheat, and some even gave her money. If she did not beg even for a day, that day there would be nothing available in her house to cook for the family. So, every single day she had to go to the village to beg. One day, while she was returning home from the village after begging, she met a stranger who got off a chariot and asked her to share from her alms collection. The beggar woman was reluctant to share her alms, since her family was dependent on the daily collection. She very unhappily gave less than a handful of the day’s collection to the stranger. Soon the man and the chariot disappeared from her sight. That day when she went home, she emptied the bag in which she collected her alms and started separating the pulses. She found some gold coins equivalent in number to the same number of coins she had given the stranger. Instantly, she realized that the stranger was none other than God himself. He did a mighty thing in her life that day. She repented for not sharing more of her alms, and she realized that she would have received more gold coins, had she given more of her alms. Even today, many of us bring hindrances into our own lives, to reach God’s Kingdom. Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

What has the Lord God not done for us? Our Father God has given us His only son, Jesus Christ, who in turn sacrificed His life for us. God always keeps giving, He never ceases from giving us His best.

2 Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Yes, the Lord God has given us everything that we have today. He has given us victory over Satan, He has given us life everlasting, He has turned our curse into a blessing for us, He has made us wealthy and rich by His sufferings, and He has not withheld any blessings from us. Mathew 20:28 “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Our God came into this world to deliver us from the darkness of this world. God has also blessed us with His Holy Spirit, and through His Spirit, He has given us Power, Strength, and Fruits of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues.” Through His Holy Spirit, God has blessed us with great blessings. Not only this, God has also blessed us with nine fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Actually, our God has given us His all.

Isaiah 53:5-6 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. What can we give our God in return? Nothing? God the Father gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ, in turn Jesus Christ came into this world and sacrificed His precious life for us. Through Him, we have secured happiness, peace, and joy in our life. We have also received the nine fruits of His Holy Spirit. He sacrificed His life on the Cross, taking the burden of our sins and delivered us out of them. Can we give our wonderful God anything?

1 Corinthians 16:2 “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” Which is the first day of the week for us? It is Sunday. God says that we must not come empty handed on a Sunday, but when we come into His presence, we must bring our best offering into the Church. We must bring our offering into God’s warehouse. We must never come empty handed. In the book of Leviticus, we read about the one tenth offerings that we need to bring into the house of the Lord. In Egypt, we saw how Pharaoh commanded the Egyptians to bring to him one fifth part of their earnings. We read in Genesis 41:34 “Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.” While God had commanded that one tenth of the earnings must be brought into the warehouse of God, Pharaoh commanded the Egyptians to bring one fifth of their earnings to him.

In the Holy Scriptures, we also know of the prayer of the rich man and of the poor man in God’s Holy Temple. The rich man says in Luke 18:12 “I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.” Even at that time, whatever a person’s status, they brought their tithe offerings into God’s Holy temple. No one went into the temple empty handed. Our God has made us wealthy, and He has never allowed any lack in our lives. If we pause for a moment and think, ‘if God had given us nothing, would we have gained anything in this world?’ But today, our Lord God knows what we are giving Him. Our God has come into this world to exchange His Love for us. He wants us to give Him our sorrows and pain, in turn He will give us His peace and joy. He wants us to give Him the dark areas of our lives, and in turn He will give us His Light.

Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

Here, our loving God makes us an ‘Exchange Offer’ – we have to give Him all our old things, and He in turn will make everything new for us. Isaiah 61:3 “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” 

After Moses, Joshua reigned over Israel. What did the Lord promise Joshua? Joshua 1:5 “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” This is what God prophesied for Joshua when He blessed Joshua and strengthened him. When Joshua went to capture Jericho, he spoke to the Israelites and warned them. Joshua 6:18-19 “And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.” All the wealth in this world is God’s – viz., gold, silver, and other precious metal. Joshua warned the Israelites not to take any accursed thing for themselves in Jericho, lest they bring a curse upon themselves and the camp of Israel.

After conquering Jericho, Joshua sent men to view the Canaanite town of Ai. Joshua 7:3 “And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.” There was no need for so many thousands of people to go to war, for in Ai, the people numbered just a few hundreds. Later, we see what happened, and how because of the sin of one man (Achan), the Israelites had to face defeat when they attempted to conquer the city of Ai. Due to the greed of this one man, the Israelites were defeated. God withheld the promise he had earlier given Joshua. God explained why this was so, in Joshua 7:11-12 “Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.” Here we see how God was disappointed with the Israelites. God was angry and sorrowful. God said ‘I will not be with you anymore.’ Remember, initially God’s promise to Joshua was, ‘No man will be able to stand before you, and I will never fail you.’ But after this incident, God had to hold back the promise He made to Joshua, because of one man’s sin, namely Achan’s lies and robbery.

In this world too, we sin against God by robbing, stealing, and lying to Him. The same thing that Achan did to Joshua and the Israelites, we people are doing to the Lord today. The people had to stone Achan and finally set him on fire and he was turned into ash. Why did this happen to Achan? Because he coveted what was not supposed to be coveted; he robbed, stole and lied to Joshua. Joshua 7:20–26 “And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the LORD. And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the LORD shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day.” We must remember that everything in this world belongs to God, and we cannot rob God of anything. Achan robbed God, and so he was turned into ash.

When we have God’s fire within us, no fire of this world can quench us, for heavenly fire will quench all the fires of this world. The enemy puts wrong thoughts in our heart to deceive us, to quench the holy fire within us. Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wher ewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” We must be wise to quench the fiery darts of the wicked, and save ourselves from becoming ash. If not, then it will only give the world a chance to blame God for our unrighteousness. We must not give a chance for the people of this world to say anything against our Lord due to our sins and unrighteousness. Ephesians 6:10-16 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” The devil will continuously aim fiery darts at us, but we must not let it touch us, lest we turn into ash.

Remember Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego? They were not consumed in the fiery furnace, nor did the fire quench them; for they were already on fire for the Lord! The Lord God spoke to Moses in the burning bush. Did the bush burn? No, because our God is fire, and He can quench all other fires of this world. It is important for us to remember all this. Samson was a valiant man, with great power and might. God blessed him abundantly. But Samson, because of his wrong doings, brought upon himself the wrath of God. Because of his sins, he was made a spectacle before the Philistines, and the Philistines mocked at the Lord God. Hence, always remember that we must never become ash; rather we must remain as fire for the Lord. Our God has not withheld anything from us, rather He has blessed us abundantly. Yet, even today, many of us rob God even as Achan did, because of which he was turned into ash. We must always withstand the fiery darts that the devil aims at us and instead, remain entwined with the Lord.

What is the Lord’s promise for us? Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” No water can drown us, nor can any river overflow upon us. Even if we walk through fire, we shall not be burned. This is our mighty God’s promise for us. Likewise, God’s promise to Joshua was that no man would be able to stand before him, yet because of one man’s sin, this promise was broken, and the Israelites were defeated. God promises us in Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” How should we live our life if Lord has to keep His promise that He has given us? Our Lord has given us many prophesies, but we have to live a righteous life to enable God to fulfill His promise in our lives.

Years ago, there was an English movie ‘2012,’ released all across the world. This movie is about the end-times, where everything prophesied in Mathew 24:3-14 is shown in the movie. The movie shows how the anger of God comes upon the people of this earth, and how the world would be destroyed by December 2012. Yes, all the signs of the end-times are surely coming to pass in this world. However, our Lord also said that once Israel is surrounded by the armies of the world, that would truly be the end-time. God loves Israel very much, and whatever the Lord God has said about Israel, everything has come to pass… ‘there will be wars, earthquakes, tsunamis, hatred within families, people will lose faith in each other.’ The Holy Scripture says in Luke 21:20 “And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.” In the movie all this is shown, but the true end-time is not shown. This is how the devil deceives people, by concealing the truth. Our God says that when the time will come, all Jerusalem will be surrounded by the armies of the enemies, and there will be no escape then. That is the real end-time. All that is happening in this world currently, pandemics, earthquakes, wars, etc., are only the beginning of end-times; these are not the end-times itself. Many people will leave the Lord, as their faith will be shaken, and this is also the beginning of end-times. Yet, the real end-times will be when the armies of the enemies surround Jerusalem. Hence God says ‘Do not run helter-skelter, just wait in faith upon Me.’

Luke 21:9-22 “But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”

We see that learned scientists have progressed scientifically. They have sent astronauts to the moon and space, shot satellites into space, and are now seeking to live on other planets and moons; yet this will fail – for we are challenging God, the creator of this universe. God made this beautiful world for people to live in, but it is the devil which puts such thoughts in people’s hearts against the Creator, making people want to live in space, moon, and on other planets. Lucifer thought the same, when he wanted to rule in the heavens. This is the same thought he is putting into people’s hearts. However, our God is a good God, and though we have hurt Him in these and other ways, yet He loves us.

Revelation 6:13 “And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.” Whatever scientists have sent into space and the universe, they will fall apart someday, for it is due to man’s wisdom that these things have been done. But our Lord God made a place for mankind to dwell in, i.e., the earth. Genesis 11:4-7 “And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” God created a beautiful world for man to live in, but man wanted to build a tower that reached the sky. The Lord punished man, and confounded their language so that man could not communicate with one another. This brought an end to the building of the tower.

Genesis 1:14 “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.” God created this world for us to live in. God never desired for man to go and live in the heavens or the universe, something that we now find man desperately seeking. The high universe and space are a sign of God’s great power and might. They are not a place for man to live in, for God is glorified through the universe and space. This desire in man is the plan of the devil to destroy us and turn us into ash.

The Lord God says in Revelation 22:11 “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Today the Lord makes us an ‘exchange offer.’ He is ready to take away our sorrows, and in turn give us happiness. He wants to wash away our sins and fill us with righteousness. He wants to take away all negative things from us and fill us with His blessings. God does not want us to become ash, rather He wants us to remain as a fire, burning for Him. We must be wise to realize who has made the ash. We must love our Lord and entwine ourselves in Him always. Remember, our God said ‘when I return, I will bring each one’s reward with me.’ We must never let the name of our Lord God fall to the ground. The Lord had spoken to Joshua and made him a promise. He is the same God, who because of one man’s sin, withheld the promise from Joshua and turned away from him, even if momentarily.

Our God is a forgiving God, but we must never take His love for granted. We must never rob God’s Kingdom, for if we rob God, we will never be blessed with the Kingdom of God.

Praise the Lord, and a very Happy Harvest to all the readers. I hope you and all your near and dear ones are in good health, by God’s grace.

Harvest is a season of thanksgiving and fruitful beginnings. I am so thankful for the abundant blessings which my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has blessed me with, during the past month.

It looks like Covid-19 is here to stay, but as they say life has to move on. Likewise, we too have now opened admissions to our old-age home, as there were numerous inquiries to admit the elderly – in fact, there was literally a waiting list!

In today’s circumstances, we have to look into so many aspects before admitting anyone; as all are ready to complete all formalities and just want to get admitted. I really do not know whether to feel good about it, or to feel sad that children want to just get their parents admitted into an old-age home. But as the Word says, the children of God will be taken care of till the last breath of their lives. Hence, I believe that only the chosen ones are admitted in our old-age home.

May God bless all the residents of our old-age home and keep them in good health, now and always.

Do continue take care of yourself and your family members and also keep our residents in your prayers.

Praise the Lord! It’s that time of the year where we celebrate the Harvest festival… A day of thanksgiving and celebration and remembrance of all the good blessings we have received.

As Christians, celebrating Harvest isn’t just about a day’s celebration, for each day we ought to be thankful for God’s grace, love, and mercy, that He has bestowed upon us.

When we read through the parables, we observe that in olden times God always provided food to his children in spite of severe famine in the cities. We read about how through His servant Elisha, God blessed the widow’s house with flour and oil till the time the famine ended.

Similarly, if we compare that famine to today’s times, we see so many who have lost their loved ones, so many who have lost their jobs, a few their homes, and even belongings; to pay up huge medical bills in order to survive this pandemic.

However, our children’s education continues, and our families at the Rose of Sharon continue to be blessed, and we reap the blessings of the word of God sown in our lives each week, even during the pandemic.

So, as we celebrate the festival of Harvest this year, let us remember to be grateful and thankful each day for the grace of God we continue to receive, and let us bring up our children to be grateful and thankful each day for every blessing received.
