I greet you all in the precious name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures say that Egypt was a land of bondage. The Israelites worked day and night. They could not eat what they desired. They could not go where they wanted to go. They could not do whatever they wanted to do – this was the Pharaoh’s decree.
The Lord had made a garden for His people in their own homes. Genesis 2:16 “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.” The Father had given freedom to His people to eat freely of every tree; this is called the ‘Father’s house.’ The relevance of the ‘Fathers’ house’ is explained by what the Father said to the son, ‘Son, You are always with me and all that I have is yours.’
Exodus 13:16 “And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.” The New Testament sign is the Cross. What the Lord did on the Cross is a remembrance for us, for it was on the Cross that the Lord delivered the entire world.
David says that he would meditate on the Lord’s works and not on his own works. Psalm 77:12 “I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.”
Pharaoh had let the Israelites go, thinking they would fear war; but God knowing that the Israelites may change their minds and desire to return to Egypt on seeing the Philistines on the way, led them by another route.
Exodus 13:17 “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt.” This proves God’s love for His people.
Psalm 23:2 “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.” This is not the sheep’s wish but the Good Shepherd’s wish. Our God is a Good Shepherd. Our God doesn’t like His people to war, hence He says ‘the war is not yours but mine.’
Exodus 14:13,14 “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Whatever the troubles in your life do not worry, the Lord will fight for you.
May the Good Lord bless and keep you till we meet again through these pages.
Yours in the Lord’s service,
Pastor Saroja M
Praise the Lord. I was undergoing a lot of problems in my life. Since many days I was trying for a mortgage loan on my house. My son was having drug addiction, was locked up in jail and was not getting bail. At that time I happened to watch the Rose of Sharon TV Program on Shubhsandesh Channel and called the prayer request number displayed on the screen. The brother who answered my call prayed for all my needs. By God’s grace, I received the loan within five days, my son got bail and I am happy to say that even his addiction has decreased. He used to be out of our home at nights, but now he comes home on time and also there is a lot of positive change in his behaviour. I give all glory to Jesus for this great work in my life and I thank the Rose of Sharon Ministry for their prayers.

During an intense war in the battle field, a young soldier was separated from his comrades while retreating. In defeat, the young soldier ran as fast as he could while the enemy troops gave chase.
Alone & exhausted the soldier knew the enemy was close behind. He spotted an old abandoned house & ran towards it. Quickly he crawled into one of the dark room & hid. Feeling safe for a moment, he knew once the enemy troops find the house he would be captured and killed. Awaiting his doomed fate, he prayed to God. “Lord please protect me.” “My life is in your hands, may your will be done.” “I love & trust you.”
After his prayer, a spider began to weave a web at the entrance of the room. The spider layered delicate threads one by one across the room’s doorway. The young soldier thought, “I asked God for protection from guns & bullets yet… He sends a little spider to save me?”
The enemy troops discovered the old house & began searching each room one after another. The young soldier could hear his enemies footsteps moving closer toward his hideout. As the enemy troops reached the entrance of the room, they stayed and said “Nobody can be in that room.” “They would have had to break the spider’s web to enter.” “Let’s keep moving.”
The enemy troops then backed away & searched elsewhere. In amazement the young soldier fell to his knees & prayed “Lord, please forgive me for I lack faith. Where there is God, nothing is impossible!”
When we face times of distress, do not forget that God works & protects in the most surprising ways. Matthew 19:26 “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Acts 26:19 “Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” When it is the end of a sinful life, at that point begins a new righteous life. Where the Uzziah kind of life ends, there begins an Isaiah kind of life. Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” When a life of Uzziah ends, then a new life like Isaiah begins. When a life of sin ends, a life of purity begins. Jesus said in Mark 2:21-22 “No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.” Jesus said that when a new cloth is sewn with the old one, the new cloth also tears. Thus it is important that we pray for a life of anointing by fire, so that we can destroy every plan of the evil. We know that the prophet Isaiah came into the holy temple and saw a very sacred vision; in that vision he experienced an anointing by flaming fire. Revelation 1:14 “His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire.” In this sacred vision, Isaiah saw God as white as wool with eyes like a flaming fire. A person who is enveloped by this flaming fire from above alone can make such revelations. Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” When this flaming fire descends on this earth, all people will prophecy. Thus said Apostle Paul “I am not unaware of this sacred vision – it is not new to me, I have experienced it and know it.” When Jesus will come in His second coming, such mighty works will take place on this earth. To receive it in our lives and celebrate the same, we must forsake the Uzziah type of life and let the Isaiah kind of life be born in us. We must bury every Uzziah quality in us. 2 Chronicles 26:16 “But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.” Uzziah was a very proud king. When there is pride within us, we can take our lives only towards destruction. Isaiah too had this kind of nature in him initially: let us read Isaiah 6:5 “Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” Prophet Isaiah had seen the vision of the Lord God and he confessed his sins, whereupon God touched his lips and sanctified him. When we are subdued like Isaiah and confess our sins before God, the Uzziah kind of nature leaves us and the Isaiah kind of nature enters us. We become humble and wise. We must always pray for a spirit like Isaiah.
If we read the passage ahead, God sent the Seraphim angel and touched Isaiah’s lips with a burning coal and sanctified his lips. Unless our sins are confessed, we cannot expect God’s sacred vision or be delivered from our sins. Until the Uzziah dies within us, a new Isaiah cannot be born within us. We know that when the mighty God touched Isaiah’s life, his life was transformed. People saw a changed nature in Isaiah’s life and he went on to become a great prophet. This is the great and mighty doing in Isaiah’s life. Jesus said in Luke 16:15 “And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” Many of us still nurture the nature of Uzziah and pretend to be righteous people. We must remember that we can fool man, not God. God considers that a man is unrighteous and unclean when the Uzziah element is still alive within us. In such a case, we cannot expect anything from God. We may pretend to be great in front of men, but before Jesus the whole act is an abomination. Our life is like a cracked earthen pot, which becomes useless and good for nothing. Thus the verse says that we will become an abomination for the Lord. Without repentance in our heart, we cannot become a pure vessel for Him unless the old self dies. Where can we sanctify ourselves? In the holy temple. Just as how Isaiah ran into the holy temple; he was thirsty, hungry and he had fear and love for the Lord. In this holy temple, when Isaiah received this great vision, he proclaimed that he was unclean as he dwelt amongst the unclean people. But it is in that very holy temple, that God transformed Isaiah’s life and purified him.
Today, we have all come to His holy temple, and God knows that we are unclean from within, though we may appear clean and righteous to the people when they see our appearance. We need to examine our lives today, we need to search every corner of our heart and check for pride, ego, etc. and we must cut it off from our lives. We must separate ourselves from our sins and we must uproot it out of our lives. Every Saturday and Sunday we may come and hear the word – but if we do not change our lives for the better, one day God will deny you when you shout His name saying “Lord, Lord, Lord.” He will say “I don’t know you.” To become God’s pure vessel, we must destroy the Uzziah like life within us; unless we do that, we cannot purify our lives. Luke 16:15 “And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.” Men will say we are very brilliant and very good, but in the sight of our Lord God we are impure. Thus, we must strive to get out of our sins today, just as Isaiah cried out to the Lord in the holy temple. The flaming fire touched his lips and changed him and made him a pure vessel for the Lord. We have also come into God’s holy temple, so let us confess our sins and separate ourselves from the sinful life.
We know the sorrowful story of Hannah. One day she ran into the holy temple in the presence of God and cried out to the Lord; the Lord answered her at that very moment in the holy temple. In our lives we have many short comings, but when we call out to our Lord in faith, He is ready to take away our sorrow and pain. David says in Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” Here we see how happy David was, to come into the Lord’s holy temple. It is in God’s holy temple that we can lessen our burdens, we can get deliverance from our sin and sickness and where we can receive our blessings. Solomon built the temple and when he made sacrifice to the Lord in the holy temple, the Lord spoke and said – 2 Chronicles 7:15 “Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attend unto the prayer that is made in this place.” The God who purified Isaiah, is the same God who heard and answered Hannah’s prayers and made her fruitful, thereby taking away her barrenness. He is that very same God who will answer our prayers, for His eyes will see and His ears will be open to every prayer made in this holy temple. We must always have faith that God’s ears are open to our prayers and that He will answer them and give us victory. This must be our faith in this holy temple. All this is the promise and testimony of God’s great doings. Hence it is recorded that we may pray as such and commit our lives into God’s hands.
It is important for us to stay focused on God. John 17:3 “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” It is imperative for us to believe in God the Father and in His only son Jesus Christ. It is only when we believe in them, that we will have eternal life. John 7:16 “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.” Jesus Christ knew that the people had different thoughts and were jealous of His teachings. Lord Jesus could check their hearts and read their minds. Jesus Christ used to look directly at the hearts and thoughts of people. Jesus spoke in parables, saying that the Word given to Him was by His Father God. Jesus Christ preached the Word that His Father in Heaven gave Him. He urged the people not to disbelieve or get annoyed, not to be jealous or angry with the Word He preached; for the Word was from God and it was not His own. The God who created you and me, has given this Word. John 7:17 “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” Those who are ready to change, ‘change’ says the Lord Jesus; for this Word has come directly from the throne of heaven i.e. from God the Father. Today too, God is with us; whoever strives to follow Him and obey His Word and command, will understand the Word and accept it. But those who have the spirit of Uzziah within them will not accept the true Word. It is important that Isaiah be born in our lives, while Uzziah must die. Those who fear and love the Lord will know that this is our Father God’s Word. John 14:24 “He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”
Jesus proclaimed that those who did not love Him would not obey His Word. From the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus said that if you did not love God, however much the Word would be preached, it would never touch your heart. Jesus said that this was not His Word, but that of His Father from above who sent Him. Thus, those who do not love Jesus, will not believe this Word. If we believe the Word, the Word will work in our lives and change our lives for the better. When we believe in His Word, we will surely see the mighty works of God in our lives. Uzziah will be dead in our lives and Isaiah will be born within us. We cannot play hide and seek before the Lord God; it is when we fear the Lord that a new life will be born within us.
Psalm 91:14 “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” Jesus said in John 14:24 “He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.” When we recognize that the Word is from our Father in Heaven, the promise Word in Psalm 91:14 “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” – is for us. Our God is not a partial God, He does not change; rather we must change from our wicked lives. We know of Prophet Elijah’s story, how he stood in boldness before King Ahab. 1 Kings 17:1 “And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” Elijah was worthy to stand before the King because he had the presence of the Lord God with him. Revelation 21:5-7 “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” It is important for us to get victory when we are entwined with the Lord God who is the “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.” When we live on this earth and do not obey His command and Word, we will never be able to reach the Kingdom of God. When Jesus Christ lived on this earth, He only did the will of His Father till He was crucified. After that, Jesus was carried away in the cloud, while the men were watching Him. How will we go to heaven? Will we also will be taken up by a cloud? The Word says we will all be taken up, but how? The Word says those who wait upon the Lord shall fly like an eagle. Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
So what are these wings in our life? They are Prayer and Praise. These alone are our wings and these wings shall lift us up to heaven. Prayer and Praise is very important in our lives. God recognizes every voice of ours, thus we should praise from the bottom of our hearts, such that it reaches God as a sweet aroma. Every part of our body is an instrument for the Lord God, thus when Jesus comes to take us, it is our Prayer and Praise alone which will become our wings and we shall be lifted to Him. Hence, those who wait upon the Lord, believing in His promise and Word, will fly like an eagle. Acts 1:9 “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” No one saw the cloud descend, but they saw Jesus suddenly being carried away by the cloud. We too will be carried away in our Prayer and Praise to the Lord God.
Let us today strive to end the life of Uzziah within us and let Isaiah take birth within us. David says in Psalm 34:1 “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Remember only Prayer and Praise will form the wings to fly us to the Kingdom of God. Revelation 19:1-3 “And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”
Jezebel was married to King Ahab; she kept the King entwined with her and thus killed many Prophets of God. We know the miserable end of Jezebel on this earth. But today, her spirit has caught many and is working through many people in this world. Jezebel‘s spirit strives to bring down God’s priests and prophets. When Elijah stood without fear before Jezebel, she sent him a message warning him of dire consequences. Elijah had killed many prophets of Baal, hence Jezebel sought to kill him. Elijah was tired of running away from Jezebel, after her warning. Elijah was weak physically, but as said in Rev 19:2, the spirit of the Harlot (Jezebel), will be destroyed. Even today, Jezebel’s spirit brings tiredness, sorrow, feeling of suicide and pain in the lives of the servants and God. However, just as God provided Elijah with food and water with which Elijah was strengthened to run for another forty days and night, the same God will provide us the strength to withstand the spirit of the harlot Jezebel. 1 Kings 19:1-4 “And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.” Thus it is God’s promise for us today that He will destroy the spirit of the harlot Jezebel on this earth. When God’s Spirit is within us we can understand this revelation in our life, or else we will also be broken in spirit, in our lives. It is important for God’s grace to be upon our lives – only then will we be blessed. We must become Isaiah and put an end to the life of Uzziah within us.
Revelation 4:8-11 “And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” As the Word says – In heaven there is singing and rejoicing for the Lord God day and night. There is continuous praise and worship in the presence of God, where the angels and righteous people keep aside their crowns and started praising and worshipping the Lord God. We must be humble beings without pride and ego before God. We must restore our lives and become Isaiah and thus put an end to the life of Uzziah within us.
May this Word bless every one. Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord. I am Mamta Kaur from Ludhiana. The first time I heard the TV message from Pastor Saroja on Shubhsandesh Channel, I was very touched by the word of God.
I then called the Rose of Sharon prayer helpline and gave a prayer request regarding my husband’s travel to Thailand for business. I was always very worried during his travel as during his emigration check he has always experienced some problem or the other everytime, where due to the ECR stamping issue, many a times he has been forced to even come back.
But this time after prayers and by God’s grace alone, my husband did not face any problem at the airport and he reached Thailand safely. But my husband’s friends underwent a lot of inconvenience due to their ECR stamp issue and eventually they had to also come back.
I thank Lord Jesus for answering my request and also thank the ROS prayer helpline for praying for my husband. Thank You Jesus.
