Editor’s Note
I greet you all in the matchless name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is a promise keeping God, yesterday, today and forever the same.
Daniel 6:16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
If you are truly worshipping the living God, He will deliver you from all your problems and enemies. Not only will He deliver, but He will also lift you up. Do not fear even if an army of enemies come up against you.
The meaning of Daniel is “God is my judge.”
God was with Daniel when he was brought as a captive from Jerusalem to Babylon. Daniel also had a very great zeal for the Lord.
Daniel had determined in his heart not to eat anything of the king’s table. Because of this, God gave Daniel ten times more wisdom than any of the wise men in Babylon.
Now the governors of Babylon sought for some means to demean Daniel, so they went to the king and told him that Daniel worships his God three times a day, thus breaking the king’s command. In the end they received permission to put Daniel into the lion’s den.
That time the king said to Daniel, “The God whom you serve continually will deliver you.”
Therefore if you want to live a victorious life, give yourselves fully to worship and praise the living God. Pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Now in those days when the congregation was growing, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Greeks that their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution.
When you decide to pray with zeal, the enemy will bring many hindrances without any reason. So the apostles said in Acts 6:2-4 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Do not lose your peace of thinking of the hindrances the enemy brings for prayer. You must continue praying without ceasing.
The apostle Paul writes to the Romans in Romans 1:9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; He also writes to the Colossians in Colossians 1:9-10 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; He personally writes to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:3-4 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; Pray continually that there be no hindrance to your prayer. Leviticus 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
In the New Testament you are the altar of God. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Surrender your broken spirit and your broken and contrite heart at the Cross of Calvary, so that the God of Elijah will pour out His Spirit as fire upon you. Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Your lamp should always be burning. The foolish virgins did not take sufficient oil with them, so their lamps went out, while the wise one’s lamps kept burning. Proverbs 31:18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
We pray that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven. What is happening in heaven? Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. If you are the temple of the Lord, let the praise and worship of God continue in your hearts. Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant with thanksgiving.
I am pleased to inform my dear brothers and sisters, readers of this magazine and my family of the Rose of Sharon Church, that the Rose of Sharon TV program will be launched from 1st October, every Thursday evening from 6.30 pm – 7.00 pm on Tamilan TV. See the program and be blessed. Continue to pray for me and my family.
May God bless you all till we meet again in next month’s newsletter. I wish you all and your families a very fruitful Harvest.
Your’s in His service,
Pastor Saroja M.
I wanted to get married, so I requested Pastor Saroja for her prayers. Many a times, I went to see proposals, but due to some reason or the other it would not materialize. At one of the night prayer, Pastor Saroja prayed specifically for my marriage. After that I went to my native place to see a girl. By God’s grace, this time the proposal materialized and my marriage got fixed.
I give all glory, honour and praise to our Lord Jesus for hearing Pastor Saroja’s prayer. I also thank Pastor for praying fervently for me.
Thank You Jesus!
Bro. Devdas (Jogeshwari East)
Praise the Lord!
I have two testimonies
My son Ahaz is in Jr. Kg and he was not studying well and did not get good marks in his mid-term exams. We told this to Pastor Saroja and she assured us of her prayers. I wish to testify that in the final examination he studied well and also passed with good marks.
My son Joshua got high fever with rigors one morning and we applied prayer oil. We then called Pastor Saroja and requested for her prayers. Immediately his fever abated and he became well completely.
I give all glory, honour and thanks to my Lord Jesus for both the above testimonies! Thank you also to Pastor Saroja for her prayers for my family.
Bro. Robert Francis (Goregaon East)
I am sorry for giving this testimony late. My son Obed had taken the bicycle for a ride outside the society. On returning and entering the society, he looked around and saw that there were no vehicles; but when he turned, a biker suddenly sped into his bicycle and suddenly stopped, just touching the rear wheel. Though the biker fell off, my son escaped without any injury, except that, the bike was slightly damaged.
I give God alone all glory, honour and praise to God for protecting Obed from a serious accident. Thanks also to Pastor Saroja for fervently praying for my family always.
Praise the Lord!
Bro. Austin Roberts (Vakola)
I had requested Pastor Saroja for her prayers for my daughter as she was appearing for her First Year Degree examination. My daughter wrote her exams well; now her results are also declared and she has passed the examination.
My daughter and I give all thanks and glory to God for this victory in the examination. We also thank Pastor Saroja for her sincere prayers.
Praise the Lord!
Bro. Joseph Arikswamy (Goregaon East)
My son was suffering from cough and cold for almost a month. He went to doctor and took medicines, but it did not heal him. Then I requested Pastor Saroja for her prayers for my son. After prayers, my son was completely healed.
I give all glory and praise to Lord God for healing my son. Also, thanks to Pastor Saroja who prayed for my son.
Thank you Lord! Praise the Lord!
Sis. Bharti Mohite (Kalina)
Recently I suffered from severe throat ache and even after taking the doctor’s medicines, I got only temporary relief. I called Pastor Saroja and requested her for prayers. Pastor assured me of her prayers. After prayers, I was completely healed.
I give thanks to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for healing me. Thanks also to Pastor Saroja for her advice and prayers.
Thank you Jesus! Praise the Lord!
Bro. Jayantilal (Jogeshwari)
My appraisals were due and I was worried about it. I was also concerned about the increment. I requested Pastor Saroja for her prayers. I am happy to testify God’s mighty doing in my life for I received a very good increment – much more than all my colleagues!
I give thanks to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for blessing me. Thanks also to Pastor Saroja for always praying for me and my family.
Thank you Jesus! Praise the Lord!

Once upon a time in a land fairly close by, lived a solider named Benny. Benny held the rank of sergeant in the country of Zeal’s army. Sergeant Benny was a very hard worker and took care to ensure that everything was in its place. He saw that his rifle was properly taken care of, his uniform spiffy clean, and that all orders were followed to the letter.
Sergeant Benny would work long hard hours to ensure that everything got done and that everything was secure. The people of Zeal slept easier knowing that Sergeant Benny was on the job.
One day, the top official of the country of Zeal’s army noticed what an outstanding job Sergeant Benny was doing. He spoke with some of the other officials and they decided to send Sergeant Benny to the island of Lackadaisical.
You see the soldiers on the island of Lackadaisical were not very hard workers and they hardly ever finished all their work. The island wasn’t very secure. Rumor had it that this island would be the first place to be attacked, if and when a war broke out. Sergeant Benny would be a big help to make the island secure.
Sergeant Benny gladly accepted his new orders, just as he always did. When he arrived on the island of Lackadaisical he couldn’t believe his eyes. The other soldiers’ uniforms were very sloppy, their rifles were covered with dirt and grim, their shoes needed to be shined, and most of them were lying in the shade drinking lemonade. Sergeant Benny shouted, “What kind of soldiers are you?”
The other soldiers laughed and said to Benny, “Lighten up, who do you think you are anyway? If you got a problem you should go see the top official of the island.”
Sergeant Benny marched right over to the official’s house and asked to speak with him. The top official’s name was Mr. Apathetic. Sergeant Benny noticed that Mr. Apathetic was in worse shape than all the soldiers of Lackadaisical.
“Yes, how may I help you?” Mr. Apathetic yawned. Sergeant Benny began to explain how sloppy the soldiers were and how unsecured the island was, when Mr. Apathetic interrupted him, “Yes, yes, whatever. Please come back and talk to me after lunch. I need to take a nap right now.”
Sergeant Benny returned after lunch and was told to come back after dinner. When he returned after dinner he was told to come back after breakfast. Mr. Apathetic was always playing and didn’t have time to talk.
This went on for days. The days stretched into weeks. Sergeant Benny tried to talk to the other soldiers, but they would just laugh and ask who had made him the boss. After a month of all this, Sergeant Benny began to think that maybe he had also been working just a little bit too hard. The island was beautiful and had many nice places to swim. He decided to take the afternoon off and go swimming.
After swimming, he was very hungry and ate a big lunch. After eating, he took a long nap. At first Sergeant Benny felt bad about goofing off and not doing his work, but the more he goofed off, the easier it became. Soon Benny was goofing off everyday. His rifle was caked with mud, he couldn’t find his boots, his shirt was torn, and he needed to comb his hair.
Benny was just getting ready to take a nap when the alarm sounded. The island of Lackadaisical was under attack. Benny jumped to his feet and began to run to the army base where he thought he left his rifle. However, he couldn’t run very fast because he was so out of shape. The enemy quickly defeated the soldiers of Lackadaisical. Not one of the people of Lackadaisical survived the sudden attack.
We are also in an army—God’s army. As soldiers in God’s army, we need to make sure that we stay in shape, by reading our Bible, praying, worshiping our Lord, and helping others.
Many things can try to distract us from staying in shape. We may think its more fun to ride our cars or play videogames, and it is not wrong to do those things, but we need to make sure we put God first. Some people may not understand the importance of prayer, reading the Bible, or spending time serving the Lord. Don’t follow their bad examples. God wants the best for us and He wants us to stay in shape. That’s an order, soldier!
Moral : Even the best soldiers, if not careful, can get caught up in the wrong things.

The True Harvest In Our Life
Boaz told Ruth “I know all your works; it has been reported to me”. Similarly, God too knows each one of us and our works and will bless each one of us according to our good works. What it is that Boaz knew about Ruth? He knew that Ruth had told Naomi her mother-in-law “Your God is my God and that your people are my people. I will live with your God and your people”. Ruth recognized that it is the Lord God’s light that shines on all His people. He alone is the way of truth and without the Lord God there is no other way. Ruth accepted this way of truth and acknowledged and accepted God as her Saviour. Ruth says to Naomi “Don’t tell me to return to my people”. Thus Boaz said to Ruth “I know all your works”. Similarly, our Lord God too knows about each one of us, and will bless each one of us accordingly. Ruth 2:12 “The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”Boaz tells Ruth “You have come as refuge under the wings of Lord God of Israel; He will change your life and take away your pain and sorrow”. Yes, when we come under God’s wings for refuge, He takes away our curse, pain and sorrow from us. This is the true harvest in our life. When we truly love God, He will repay our works with a full reward. In our lives too, God is mindful of our every deed and will bless our lives with a bountiful harvest. Ruth 2:23says “So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.”Till the end of harvest, Ruth dwelt with her mother-in-law. Many of us are entwined with the Lord God only for some time, and just as a balloon gets deflated slowly, we slowly lose our zeal and enthusiasm for the Lord. Unlike us, Ruth
stayed with her mother-in-law till the end of harvest. Yes, there is going to be a great harvest on this earth too. Jesus will come again during the second coming for the great harvest; till that time we need to be entwined with the Lord God. We need to walk in the narrow way, His way of truth, along with Him. Ruth 1:16-17 “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.”
Ruth kept this promise till the end and this also was reported to Boaz. Thus, as much as we strive to live for our Lord, our Lord will shower us with a harvest beyond measure. Boaz said to Ruth in Ruth 2:11 “And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.” We too have left everything in the world for the Lord. We come to Lord with great zeal, but over a period of time how we continue to stay with zeal for the Lord is very important.
T here are many who came behind Jesus Christ, some came for healing, some came for love, some came because they got food to eat, some followed Him to test Him. There was always great multitude following Jesus. Jesus knew that all these kinds of people followed Him. Likewise today, we too have decided to follow Jesus; now we need to remain entwined with Him and do good works for Him. It is very easy to accept Jesus and follow Him, but it is not for only one day that we need to keep Jesus happy; it’s a life-long relationship that we need to maintain with Him. Every day we must keep Jesus happy with our good works for Him.We must give Jesus first place in our life everyday if we want our Lord God to hear our prayers. Only then our every sorrow and pain is His too. Yes, Jesus must say “I have seen your reverence and I know your works.” Thus He will bless us. As we know, God created this world in six days and on the seventh day He rested. In the six days, He created everything in the world that is required for mankind and then rested on the seventh day; thus took His benefit. Will He ever forget the good works we have done for Him? Will He not give us rest, joy and peace for our works? Genesis 2:2 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh
d ay from all his work which he had made.” God rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Thus, when we too do good works for the Lord, He will see our works and give us the rest required. Jesus says in John 5:17 “But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” Father God has been working till now, so also Jesus Christ continues to do His works even today. Jesus Christ is given the authority by His Father God to sit at the right side of His throne. Thus Jesus Christ is blessed with fruits according to His works. God sees our works, our faith, our belief and He will bless us accordingly. Whatever work was given to Jesus Christ by Father God, Jesus completed all the work; thus Father God has magnified the name of Jesus above all names in this world. God will bless our works too not only for a day or two, but if we remain perfect till the end, we will win our race. The day, I have come into this Holy temple, I have experienced God’s works in this temple that He has chosen. From that day till today my zeal has only increased. The fire that was kindled from the time I entered this place, the flame has only increased and never become less. Even in your lives let the flame keep burning till the end. The works of this world is only taking people to destruction. Bombs, guns, wars, etc. are all destructive in nature. But the works of our Lord God is full of grace and mercy for His people. With electricity everything is working perfect in this temple, but if one wire snaps all will be disrupted and there will be a blackout. This is what man has created and it can fail. If we go out and see the sun, its light shines in this world; thus what God has created never fails. When our focus is on the Creator and we keep pursuing Him, He will never fail us.Mathew 5:16 says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” We are called to do good works for the Lord God. We are chosen by Him to do good works in this world, for His kingdom. We are not ordinary people, we are chosen by God. When people see our good works, they will thank and bless our Father God. Thus in whatever situation we are, truth must prevail within us. What is the Truth? Jesus Christ is the Truth; when He is with us our boat will never sink. Storms will arise in our lives, we will be shaken, but we will never be drowned because Jesus is in our boat. Whereas the people of this world, when they experience the same problem, they will drown because Jesus is not in their boat. There may be famine around; people of this world will die of hunger, but we will never lack for food. God will provide us His spiritual manna. God, who fed the Israelites for 40 years in the desert, the same God is with us today. Jesus, who fed 5000 people, is with us even today and we will never lack
for anything – this is the truth. There will be problems in our lives, but Jesus is our shield; He will shield us from the enemy and cover us with His protective wings. As it is written in Isaiah, that there is great darkness upon this earth, but God’s light will shine upon His people. It is important for us know that every good works of ours for the Lord will reap rich blessings in our lives. Yes, there will be problems in our life, but it cannot shake us. God will take care of us and lift us through all our problems. We must never forget His grace and mercy upon us. Whatever Jesus taught us was all for our own good. Once Jesus travelled to Bethany and there He met a woman who did good works for Him. Those who saw this, grumbled at her, but Jesus said that she had done good works for Him. Mark 14:3-6 “And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.”
Whether the world knows it or not, God knows the good works done for Him. The people gathered there had started to grumble thinking that this woman wasted expensive myrrh and the same could have been sold and with the money the poor and needy could be fed. But Jesus shut their mouths and said in vs. 6 “she hath wrought a good work on me.” We must remember that God sees every little good works of ours, whether the world sees it or not; and even if our family or the people of this world grumble at us, we must not worry at all. Romans 2:7 “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:”Who is blessed with eternal life? It is those who continue in patience and do good works for the Lord God till the end. Jesus has given His life for us, thus we are blessed with eternal life because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. He has blessed us with peace, joy and happiness; hence we must always strive to continue to do good works for the Lord God. Thus,we will be blessed with eternal life. Continuous patience for God’s work is the key to eternal life. Christianity teaches us to continually do good works for the Lord God; it has shown us that truth alone can save us.
T he Word is the truth and we must meditate on the Word day and night; then we will reap a rich harvest in our life. When we give God the first place in our life, He will bless us. God will never give us troubles more than what we can bear. His very breath is within us, thus our life is His gift to us. Jesus gave His life on the cross for us; hence His love is agape love. We must have patience in following God, reverence for His grace and mercy in our lives. Father God has so much patience upon us; likewise Jesus Christ too has so much patience upon His children. How much more patience must we have within us to follow Jesus till the end and gain eternal life and reap much harvest in our life? We must never give in to the hands of the evil one and his plan to bring us down and defeat God’s purpose in our life. The evil one brings hindrance in the prayer life of a true believer’s life. The evil one also brings about the spirit of sleep in a believer’s life. We must be very aware of all these hindrances brought in by the evil one. We must stand against the power of darkness; the fire of God within us must rebuke these hindrances that the evil one brings in our lives. It’s bubbling… its bubbling… its bubbling in my soul; not in our body but in our soul! Our reverence for the Lord should not be only lip service, but it is our soul that must have reverence for the Lord. In my life the first harvest was at my ‘Saravana Bhavan’ house, where I used to get up at 5 am to pray. Whenever I would get up for prayers, I used to hear the prayer from the mosque for they too would pray at that same time in the morning. In my heart I used to always think ‘my God is greater than their god’. Subsequent mornings I began to get up at 4.30 am and pray. Then after my prayers were over, I would hear their prayers begin. I used to have rejoicing in my heart after that. This is the zeal we must have for our living God. Today, my life is really blessed. Many a times I too have fallen and become weak; the evil works have abounded to bring about my fall. But it is God alone who lifted me up and blessed me. Even in your lives, the evil will bring such hindrances, but we must never allow the evil one to triumph. In my life “it’s bubbling… its bubbling… its bubbling” was not in my body but in my soul. This must be the same zest and zeal in every one of our lives. This is the key for a happy and eternal life. Jesus is not a partial God; His love is the same upon each one of us. Colossians 1:10 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God”
We must increase in our good works for the Lord, day by day, month by month, and year by year. When we met Jesus we were zero in our life, but once we met Jesus we become ‘10’ because the Lord God is with us. Once we meet Jesus in our life, we must strive to increase our good works for Him. We must be worthy
and have a good walk with Him. We must make a vow for the Lord today, so that our life may always be fruitful. The Word is true: the truth will set us free. In Nehemiah’s life, he always did good works for the Lord. Nehemiah 13:14 “Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.” When we pray humbly before the Lord like Nehemiah prayed, we will surely see His mighty grace upon us. We will experience His greatness and goodness in our life. Whatever may be our prayer request and however big it is; nothing is difficult for the Lord God. He can answer and give victory to all our prayers. We must constantly seek God in our prayers. 1 Peter 2:12 “Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation”. When there is a festival of the gentiles, our neighbour will send some sweets to our house; we feel obliged to smile and take it and eat it. If we refuse it, we fear our neighbour will stop talking to us. But on the day of judgement, God will judge these acts of ours for we are answerable for our actions. We are accountable for all our actions in this world. On the other hand when we refuse all these things, surely we will make enemies with our neighbour, but the name of our God is glorified at such times. Remember, God is watching us always. If we need God’s shadow upon us, we must know where to draw the lines on our friendship with our neighbours. We must all fear the Day of Judgment, when we have to stand before God and be answerable for all our actions and deeds. In this world, we must live our life with great patience and diligence to gain eternal life. Solomon was a wise King and God blessed him with unlimited wealth to look after his kingdom. But Solomon misused his wealth and married gentile women, yet God was not angry with him. But when Solomon built temples for them to worship their Gods, the anger of the Lord God came upon Solomon. We must remember that we are sinners and we need God’s grace, mercy and kindness always. Every day we must strive to do the best for the Lord and we must strive to do good works for the Lord in our pursuit for eternal life. 2 Thessalonians 2:17 “Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.”When we stand for the Lord He will establish us in every good word and work. God will bless us with strength, peace and authority to live our life with our heads lifted high up. We must never displease God in any way. God is watching over us all the time. We can face every situation in our life, by keeping God before our problems.
Let the coming year reap a rich harvest in each of our lives. The Word is light; we will never stumble in our lives. He will show us when to turn right or left, He will lead and guide us with His light. The Word is truth and life, let us obey His Word and be blessed. May this message bless one and all. Praise the Lord!
Greetings to all our readers in the most holy and matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus of Nazareth! Welcome back once again to this edition of the monthly newsletter. I believe every section of the newsletter brings joy, cheer and great encouragement to all our dear readers. In this month’s edition I would like to share about our next oldest tenured resident who is now 84 years of age, has been with us since February 2010 and has completed a good 5 years with the Rose of Sharon family. His name is grandpa Thankavellu S. Achari who hails from the border area of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. When grandpa first came to the home, all of us (the staff) were a little apprehensive as to how we would communicate with him as none of us in the home knew either Tamil or Malayalam and grandpa Achari spoke only these 2 languages. But once he was in the home, God marvelously helped us to communicate with him, such that we started off by speaking basic essential words like food, water, bath, toilet in Malayalam. Soon God gave the grace and knowledge to form short statements out of nowhere, though not perfect but as long as he understood, was important. Thank you Jesus. grandpa had rashes and dry skin problem initially, he would scratch his body vigorously till it bled, but over the years God has completely healed him of his rashes problem through the blessed prayer oil. grandpa Achari loves music and naturally has a good hear for it. He instantly starts clapping rhythmically to the tune of any catchy beat music played in the home. Each morning, we play gospel music both in Hindi and English, but grandpa Achari is a great fan of the gospel singer Anil Kant’s songs and also a few others and you can see him swaying to the beats of their songs. With regards to food, Achari grandpa had become a little fussy with food. Depending upon his mood, (since he is a very moody person and can be very upset or extremely happy based on his mood), he would eat his food, but by God’s grace, that too is changing gradually and now is having most of his meals. Grandpa Achari has a good habit of sharing, whenever his family will bring something special for him to eat on the visiting days, he will always first share it with the other residents of the home and only then will he eat. By God’s grace in these 5 years, Achari grandpa has not suffered any major sickness, however last month he was hospitalized for 3 days for having low hemoglobin count. He has recovered completely now and is hale and healthy once again. This is God’s grace in this grandpa’s life and we believe is for all those who are residents of the Rose of Sharon home. May the good Lord continue to be with this grandpa and give him a blessed stay in the Rose of Sharon old age home in Mira Road.
Praise the Lord!
Another month of fun and activities in Sunday School!!! How fortunate our little ones are to be part of Sunday School… to grow up in the Lord, to learn His Word from this tender age, to know and understand the fear of God and the blessings of a true Christian life. Truly our children are blessed!!!
This month the children were taught about the life and trials of Joseph. There were many lessons of life to be learnt from the life of Joseph. How he was so different from his brothers. How he was deeply and dearly loved by his father Jacob; because of which he was despised and hated by his brothers. But he was beloved of the Lord, and God lifts him up in the stranger’s land. They also learnt about Joseph’s life in Potiphar’s house. And the learning continues…
The younger children love the story of Jonah – and know it very well. They narrate the story with lots of gestures and with great enthusiasm.
An important part of Sunday School is to teach the children to sing Praises to the Lord with joy and gladness!!! So singing action songs are always the most favourite part of Sunday School for all children!
Praise the Lord!
