Greetings dear friends in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Lord loves a faithful person. He who has called you is faithful.1 Corinthians 1:9 – God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus also lived a faithful and truthful life on earth before His Father in heaven. Hence He expects us also to lead a truthful life.Proverbs 28:20 – A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
So if we ask the Lord to make us faithful to Him everyday, He will help us to do so and also bless us.
Search Him in truth, worship Him in truth, and love Him truthfully, and walk faithfully in the way He shows us. When we walk carefully and in truth in God’s ways everyday, God will bless us.Hebrews 10:23 – Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)
In your life others may try to put you down. Our enemy the devil may bring many shortcomings in your life to give you sorrow and pain, and to put you down. But our God who is the ruler above all in your life will lift you up and strengthen you, so do not sorrow even a little bit.Romans 16:20 – And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
You are our king, O God, command victories for us. Through You we will push down our enemies, through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.
Our God calls us with open arms, and He says inMatthew 11:28 – Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
To receive blessings we have to go into His open arms.Psalms 91:1- 4 – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
In our daily lives suddenly when we have problems, we lose our peace and are troubled; in this situation only our God can save us.
In his most troubled times, David looked to God from whence his help came.Psalms 121:1 – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
He looked at God and was strengthened and grew in confidence. After that his situation changed dramatically and he received the blessings.
1 Samuel 30:16-19 – And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah. And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives. And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.
The same God knows your problems, He is your only way,so cling to Him and abide in Him and be courageous.Proverbs 28:1 – The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
According to this verse He will give you courage, so commit your ways to the Lord.1 John 5:5 – Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
In this world, it is useless trusting any man.Isaiah 2:22 – Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Our God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, He will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. He will give you great peace.Isaiah 26:3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
So my dearly beloved, trust in the Lord always and He will lift you and keep you in perfect peace always.
My son Obed was to appear for his 10th exams. A week before his examination, he started developing a major toothache. The pain was unbearable. I took him to a doctor and he prescribed some pain killers, but there was no relief. The Doctor then advised some treatment if the pain continued. I was very worried and after Saturday healing prayer I told Pastor Saroja about this problem. Pastor advised Obed to apply the prayer oil daily, which he did, and the pain disappeared and my son could comfortably prepare for his exams and sit for all his papers therafter.
I give all glory to Lord Jesus for the healing and also thank Pastor Saroja for her prayers and kind advise.
Thank You Jesus!

Praise the Lord!
I was having a gland type of muscle growth on my chest. On one of the Saturdays after healing prayer I showed this to Pastor Saroja and she comforted me saying it was nothing to worry about. She advised me to apply the payer oil daily. She also advised me that I can get the same checked with the doctors, but assured me all reports will come normal. I started applying the prayer oil and also went for a doctor’s check up. As assured by Pastor already, all my reports were normal.
I want to thank God for His mercy upon me and give Him all glory, praise and honour for protecting me from all seen and unseen dangers. I also thank our dear Pastor Saroja for her great concern and prayers.

My son Ahaz had a skin problem on his feet because of which he could not walk properly. We took him to the doctor and also gave him medicines as prescribed, but there of no use. We then told about this problem to Pastor Saroja; she prayed for our Ahaz and also advised us to apply the prayer oil. I would like to testify now that my son is completely healed of this problem.
I give God alone all glory, honour and praise for healing my Ahaz. Thanks also to Pastor Saroja for her fervent prayers for my son.
Praise the Lord!

My Company pitched for a chunk of business with a Hospital Chain – Cloudnine Hospitals and we were shortlisted for the final presentation on Feb 10th this year. I requested Pastor Saroja for her prayers, for the Lord to bless with this business. There were 8 other companies making separate presentations for this business. I was reminded of the David & Goliath story and read this chapter (1 Sam 17) on the morning of my presentation and kept my faith in Lord G od alone. The Lord was with us throughout the presentation, the same evening we received a congratulatory call from Cloudnine Hospitals informing us of our selection to be their partner in this project of 8 months.
All praise to God and I marvel at how He remembers us and has mercy on us always. Thank you Pastor Saroja for your fervent prayers for me.

Praise the Lord!
Firstly I ask God for forgiveness for giving this testimony late. I would like to testify of His wondrous work in my life that He had done through the prayer oil. 20 days ago, one night I suddenly got up with terrible tooth ache, the pain was unbearable. It was late night, so I could not think of anything but the prayer oil. In faith, I applied prayer oil in my mouth and prayed to God that I would be healed of this pain. From that night onwards I was healed of my pain completely.
As I forgot to testify of God’s wondrous doing, once again last week my whole cheek was swollen because of tooth pain. I was not sure which tooth was paining and what was the reason. At that time, I realized I had delayed in giving the testimony and thus my tooth ache began again and my face swelled up. I immediately asked God for forgiveness and I wrote down my testimony. Within a day the pain and swelling disappeared!
I thank God for healing me through the prayer oil and thank Pastor Saroja who prays for the prayer oil at every fasting prayer through which many are healed and receive blessings and because of which many testimonies come forth for the glory of God.
Thank you Lord! Praise the Lord!
Sis. Padma Jaykanth (Kalina)
Praise the Lord!
Firstly I ask God for forgiveness for giving this testimony late. I had white patches on my hands and I informed this to Pastor Saroja and she advised me to apply the prayer oil all over my hand. I followed her advise and by God’s grace alone, now these white patches are no longer visible on my hand.
I give God all praise, honour and glory for healing me through the prayer oil and I also want to thank Pastor Saroja for her advise and for praying over the prayer oil.
Thank you Lord! Praise the Lord!

The house that I am currently staying in is part of a MHADA colony. One evening a broker came home and asked me for money as it is going to be rebuilt into a tower. This is the same broker from whom I had purchased this chawl which is going for re-development. He warned me that if he does not get the money, he will create problems in future when the tower is built. I got very scared and I immediately called Pastor Saroja and informed her of this matter. She advised me not to give any money to these people. The next day I called this broker and informed him that I will not give him money. By God’s grace alone, from that day onwards I have received no calls for money.
I give all praise, honour and glory to God for saving me from bad people around me. I also want to thank Pastor Saroja for her advice and for continuously praying for my family and me always.
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert-like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the island. On the other side of the island, the second man has nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, and more food. The next day, like a miracle, all of these were given to him. The second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning a ship docked at his side on the island. He boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming: “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”
“My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them, the first man answered. “His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything.”
“You are mistaken!” the voice rebuked him. “He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings.”
“Tell me,” the first man asked the voice, “what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?”
The Voice boomed “He prayed that all your prayers be answered.”
Revelations 1:5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood”.The name of our blessed Jesus Christ given here is “The first begotten of the dead”.Our God is alive and in our midst even today. He died on the cross, rose again from the dead and is alive in our midst even today. Our God is alive, yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 7:25 “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them”.For those of us who have believed that our Goddied for us and is the first begotten of the dead - He will always be ready to love, strengthen and shower His grace upon us.In our hearts,it is always important to believe that our God is alive forever. Whateverthe hindrances, storms, humiliation, pain and sorrow that we may have to face in this world,we must always remember that our God is alive. He is watching over us and He alone will calm all the storms in our life. This must be our ‘Faith’ and ‘Belief’. It is written in the Holy Scriptures in Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence”.God is the Head of our Church, the first born from the dead and He is watching over us always. 1 Corinthians 15:20 “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept”. From the time of Adam, we have seen that many generations have died and gone, but our God’s deathwas a very sacred death. Our Lord Jesus Christ was born for us, He died for us on the Cross and He rose again on the 3rd day only for us. He is the only one who has risen from the dead and is living forever more. Yes, we know from the scriptures that our Lord
has resurrected many from the dead but they died once again.Through God and his mighty servants many were raised from the dead. Prophet Elisha raised the Shunammite’s sonfrom the dead; Prophet Elijah revived the widow’s son, etc. There were many that were raised from the dead, but these died again few years later. Remember, our Lord God Jesus Christ was the only “first begotten of the dead” who rose again from the dead and lives forever more. Thus, our faith must be stayed upon God, we must believe Him that rose again and is alive forever. Yes,when He comes again, we must have faith that He will raise us from the dead and lift upthose who believe in Him.
1 Corinthians 15:55 “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”We must believe our God has won over “death’.When we believe this, then His Spirit will dwell within us and thus we will also be raised up from the dead.Romans 8:11“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”.
In whatever form we may be when our God comes again, He will be able to raise us from that form,if His Spirit dwells within us. In this world, there are many Kings. In the olden days of monarchy, different Kings ruled different states; for eg. the King of Maharashtra ruled Maharashtra only. The King of Tamil Nadu ruled that state alone. The King of Maharashtra could not rule Tamil Nadu or any other state. Every King had limitations to his own kingdom, but our Lord God is a King above all Kings and He is the ruler of this world. Thus our God being the “The first begotten of the
dead”,can give deliverance to those who believe in Him and those who have faith in Him.He is able to balm their pain and sorrow. Our God loves us unconditionally. His love is impartial.Unlike the Kings of this world who showed partiality in their judgment upon the people, our God,the King of Kings who is the creator of heaven and earth, is an impartial God and He loves all mankind equally in this world.King Solomon was a different King and he was impartial because He was always led by the Spirit of God to rule His kingdom. Unlike Him, the other Kings of this world showed disparity and partiality amongst the people in their kingdom. There is no truth in this world. We see the judges in the court; they too are partial and often pass judgments immorally. It is thus important to remember that when our faith and belief is upon our Lord God, He will hold our hands and lead our lives with His pure love. Revelations 19:16 “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS”.Our God is the Kings of Kings and His judgment is always ‘righteous’.
Apostle Paul speaks highly of our God in 1Timothy 6:15 “Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords”.Paul lifts up the name of God even higher and glorifies God’s name by saying that He is the ‘King of Kings and Lord of Lords’. Our Lord Jesus Christ, the beloved son of Father God,the King of Kings, was born in a lowly state in this worldfor our sakes. After Jesus’ birth a nd before He started His ministry on this earth, whilst praying to God the Father, the evil one encountered Him and tempted Him.He showed Jesus Christ the worlds desires. If Jesus had given in to these desires of the world, it would not have been necessary for Him to sacrifice His life on the cross. The evil one tells him “I will give you this world, if you only bow down to me”. He also tells him “there is no need for you to carry the Cross and go to your death, I will give you this world and its glory, but only if you bow down to me”.Our Lord Jesus Christ, for our sakes alone, sacrificed His life on the Cross and gave us an everlasting life. Psalms 2:1-6“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion”.That day,if our Lord Godhad given in to the evil one’s deceit, todayHe would not be able to deliver us from our bondage of sins. Today,we would not have been able to do anything in His name. Over 2000 years ago,God knew the plan of the evil one and because that day He decided to suffer death on the Cross for you and me, we have victory in His name even today!
What does the ruler of this world and people of the world think about God’s children? They plan the same evil plan that the evil one did to Jesus over 2000 years ago. They scheme evil plans against us even today. But because of God’s suffering on the cross then, today we can fight the works, thoughts and plans of the evil one and get victory. 2000 years ago, if Jesus Christ had thought ‘Why me‘? ‘Why should I carry the burden of the Cross‘? ‘Why should I suffer‘? If He would have given Himself in the hands of the evil one, today things would be different. That is why when suffering, humiliation and pain comes upon His children on this earth, our God laughs at the evil one, becausethe evil one’s plans were all defeated and destroyed on the cross. God laughs at the evil one and says “How can you touch my children, what can you do to them, how much hindrance can you bring in their lives, how can you destroy them?” Our Lord who is sitting on the right side of God the Father in His heavenly Kingdom today, is laughing at the plans of the evil one. Why? Because Jesus Christ denied the evil one by obeying His Father’s command even unto the Cross thereby winning victory for all mankind. Thus, we can win victory in this world. Whatever service we do for the Lord, when the evil scorns at us, remember that the Lord is laughing at Him.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. When the evil one does everything to put Lord’s children in bondage or bring about hindrances in the lives of Lord’s children, we must remember that God is watching over us and laughing at the evil one’s plan. Our Lord reminds the
evil one “Don’t you remember that 2000 years ago,I defeated you? Today, it is that very victory that I have showered upon my sons and daughters who are serving Me. You are the defeated one and can bring no harm upon my children. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Our Lord does not keep quiet, but will bring His anger and wrath upon evil and puts His fear in them. The evil people will have no peace, they will continue to bark, they will continue to bring more hindrances, they will come down heavily with more anger and they will run helter skelter to establish their works. Our Lord will not destroy them but put them in a state of confusion and fear. During the building of the‘Tower of Babel’, when the people decided to build a tower that will reach the heavens, we know how God created confusion amongst them by changing their language thus ruining their plans of building this tall tower. Our God’s love for us was so great 2000 years ago, that He decided with great humility to give up His life on the cross for mankind. Because of His sacrifice, today Jesus Christ is the corner stone of our life. The evil one tried to dissuade Jesus many times - to not give up His life on the cross;saying that if Jesus would only bow down to Him, he would give Him the world easily. The evil one knew then itself, that if he defeated the cornerstone of our life i.e. Jesus Christ; it would be easy for him to destroy God’s people in this world. But Jesus wanted to give us deliverance from all these evil plans and thus He carried the cross for our sakes. “Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.” Thus today, our Lord God has anointed His chosen children in different places, to destroy the plans of the evil one’ upon His children.
Revelations 17:14 “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful”. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and the defeat of the evil one at His hands, today we can do many things for the Lord. Our God became humble by His birth and came into this world for you and me. It is important for us to be humble too. We will read in Philippians 2:10-11“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. We must always remember God’s humilityby his birth and his death. Thus God the Father has glorified Him and made Jesus‘ name the highest amongst all names on this earth. We must have complete faith on our Lord God Jesus Christ and remember His every sacrifice in our life. With a heart of gratitude we have to thank Him. We must never forget His birth and death on the Cross.Imagine our lives without His sacrifice where each one of us would be dead to our sins.Without getting deliverance from our sins and without the blood of Jesus, we can never hope to reach the Kingdom of God.This is what the evil one desires for God’s children - that we should not reach the Kingdom of God. Butour Lord with all His humility, restored this lost Kingdom unto us by his death on the cross and ‘the first begotten of the dead’ – Jesus Christ, is still alive with us. When we believe this ‘truth’,we will be blessed with life.
What happens to believers… theycross the Red Sea. But what happens to the unbelievers…they drownin the Red Sea.Hebrews11:29 “By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land:which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned”.Without faith, we can seek nothing or get nothing from God. Its only when we believe in Him, that we can cross the Red Sea. But if we have disbelief in us, we will drown in the Red Sea.Remember, the unrighteous and unbelieving people tried to cross the Red Sea like God’s children did, but God’s children safely crossed over while the unrighteousand unbelieving were destroyed in the same sea. If we have no faith and trust in God, someday we will also be destroyed. In our hearts, we must always remember how our God thought of us 2000 years ago where His deep and unconditional love for usmade Him sacrifice His life on the cross. Yes, if our faith is strong we will know the truth; no task is an uphill task, nothing can bring fear in us. Remember the song “The Joy of the Lord is my strength.”God will strengthen us to face all challenges in life. Thus,to believe in the ‘Word’ is very important, for it is the sword to fight every evil.Weknow how our ministry faces challenges from the evil one every day. Butour faith is in God alone, for thousands of years ago He knew that we would face such challenges. Hence He will take care of us and fight for us with the evil even today. Our God laughs at the works of evil people and their plans. Imagine how muchmore we shouldlove our God! We should be prepared to devote our lives for His work in this world. To become a good believer, we must lose many things in this world.Hebrews 11:37 “They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented”. Those who believe in God and want to get victory, have to lose a lot of things in this world. We must lose all in this world to finally obtain His Kingdom that He has prepared for each one of us.
The Holy Scriptures speaks about Abraham in Hebrews 11:10 “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God”. Just as Abraham waited upon the Lord for a city that God was building for Him, likewise we too need to wait upon the Lord. Our Lord has promised us in the scriptures that “I am going away to prepare mansions for you and I will come back and take you with me”. Thus, to reach His Heavenly Kingdom, we have to wait upon the Lord like Abraham did. If we read the entire chapter of Hebrews 11, a chapter of great faith, there were many people who put their faith and trust in God, and He loved them all abundantly. Our God’s great plans for us over 2000 years ago, has got us victory even today. With this faith in our hearts and with this trust in our hearts, we surely will be able to cross the Red Sea. But if we grumble against our God and if we do not have faith in him and if we lead our life unrighteously and try to cross the Red Sea, we will surely drown.
Thus it is important for us to put our complete faith and trust in God. His ears are always inclined to our call, His eyes are watching over us. He died for us and rose again from the dead. He is the first begotten of the dead. When we have this great zeal within us, we can pass through theRed Sea successfully and always be victorious in our lives. I pray that this message will bring blessings in our lives.
Greetings to all our dear readers in the most holy and matchless name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
In this month’s edition, I wish to share with you of yet another grandpa who has completed 7 years and is the 2nd oldest tenured member in the Rose of Sharon family at Mira Road, i.e. our dear grandpa Kamruddin Gheewala. Kamru Chacha as we affectionately call him is now 80 years old and has been a resident of the hustling bustling lanes of Bhendi Bazaar in Byculla. Kamru chacha was brought to the Rose of Sharon old age home in March 2009.
Kamru chacha when he was first brought to the home, was very aggressive by nature and a difficult person to manage. He had a habit of chewing tobacco, for about 25 years he was addicted to tobacco, and all of a sudden he was in a place where he could not chew his favorite pastime, tobacco. I remember the day his family members thought it was next to impossible for him to leave this habit and they wondered how we would keep him in control. But our dear Lord Jesus who is alive in Rose of Sharon home, alone can do the impossible, possible. Our dear Lord Jesus gave the wisdom to take care of him and within a month of his stay in the home, the urge to chew tobacco completely left him, he has never asked for it and has been living a tobacco free life ever since.
He was also on the bed for about 6 months due to a stroke, but our good God gave him strength to recover from it completely and to be able to walk again. Now, for the last 6 years, by the grace of God alone he has been living a healthy life and has never fallen sick. We give all glory to our dear Lord Jesus for keeping chacha in good health.
Kamru chacha is a live wire in the house and always keeps the staff on their toes with his antics. Usually he sleeps till about lunch time after his morning bath and breakfast, but after lunch it is impossible to make him sit in one place. He keeps walking around and will spend his time talking to the other inmates of the home. He loves to speak to visitors who come to the home and will always make it a point to share a thing or two with them. He also loves and adores little children and will play and joke with them. At times, if things do not work out his way, Kamru chacha can be a little short tempered too and will keep no stone unturned to show his displeasure.
Overall, I would sum it up by saying that, by the grace of God alone, Kamru chacha has changed immensely since the time he came to the home, not only in his health, but also in his behaviour. Today, he is calm and a much better person and has accepted the Rose of Sharon old age home as his personal home. We thank Lord Jesus for bringing about this change in him and believe that our dear Lord will continue to take care of him in the days to come too. Thank You Jesus.
God has been kind to us and blessed us with a good rainy season … so may we all enjoy His grace and the season!
It has been another wonderful month at Sunday School. This month the little children learnt about the 5 offices of the Church from the book of Ephesians 4:11-12
The 5 Offices of the Church are the Apostles, the Prophets, the Evangelists, the Pastors and the Teachers.
To make it easier for the little children to understand, an easy illustration was provided in the form of the fingers of the right palm. This method was easier to explain, and enabled the children to understand and memorise it much faster.
Also, the children were taught about the double honour that we need to give to those who labour in Word and in Doctrine. The teachings were focussed on how to hold in high esteem God’s chosen and anointed Servants who labour for the work of the ministry.
Also, the children were made to understand that our Church has all the 5 offices through Pastor Saroja. It’s a sign of a fully functional body of Christ (1 Timothy 5:17-20).
We hope to instil in the children, at this young age, the importance of the offices of the Church and the high honour that we have to give to God’s chosen and anointed Servants.
Do lift our Sunday School children in your daily prayers.
