Praise the Lord. “CHRISTMAS” is the “Season of Giving.” It is a day that reminds us that our Heavenly Father gave us His Son, “JESUS” as a wonderful gift, who so willingly came into this world to die for us sinners. Hence let us spread this joy and celebrate the tradition of giving, unconditionally!
“IMMANUEL” – what is the reason HE came into this world? To lift high, ONLY those who trust, love, fear, and have complete faith in HIM!
Micah 5:2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.” Bethlehem Ephratah was a little known place, which literally was non-existent, and which no one used to visit. But our Lord Jesus Christ chose that inconsequential place to come into this world. Since then, that place which no one even bothered about, was glorified amongst all nations. The light from that small place has shone around the corners of the world, since then forever.
Similarly, our lives may also appear worthless to the people of this world. They may consider us small or literally nothing in their sight. But since “Immanuel” came into our lives, people happen to know us and have started recognizing us.
When “Immanuel” comes into your life, what does He desire for you:
✔ He desires that your life should be a testimony for others.
✔ He desires that your life be blessed as Bethlehem Ephratah.
✔ He desires to change your lives and make your life worthy and precious.
This is the reason why God sent His only Son, JESUS, into this world. He came to change you and the way people perceive you. He came to lift you up in the eyes of the people of the world so that they will see you and glorify our Heavenly Father!
God speaks to us in different ways saying “When I am entwined with you, you will be blessed. You can do all things with me. I can lift you up higher and higher.” When God is with us, we can do things beyond the imagination of man. But when God is not with us, even a simple thing seems like a burden for us. John 14:21- 23 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” When we read and accept the word of God, and keep His commandments, and love Him, He will manifest Himself in our lives and we will feel the presence of both Jesus Christ as well as the Father God in our lives.
Hence, dear brothers and sisters, today allow “IMMANUEL” to enter into your lives. Open the doors of your hearts and allow JESUS CHRIST to enter. He is waiting and knocking on the door of your heart today. The lock to the door of your heart is from within, open it and let JESUS in!
The true meaning of “CHRISTMAS” is when we enjoy the presence of all three in our lives i.e. Father God, His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Only then our lives will be BLESSED!
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all!

Praise the Lord. My name is Sumita Gaikar. I was having chest pain, with numbness in my hand and leg. I had contacted the Rose of Sharon prayer number for the same. Within half an hour of prayer, I was relieved from my chest pain and numbness in my hand and leg.
After a few days, I had requested for prayer for two of my sisters. My sister Sangeeta was suffering for some time from dryness and pain in her throat. The Doctor had advised that her tonsils needed to be operated upon, and he advised some scanning. At that juncture, I had requested for prayer. To the Lord be all glory; all her reports came normal and Sangeeta did not need any surgery.
My other sister Shoba was admitted to the hospital for 5 days. She was having chest pain, swelling in her stomach, and weakness. The Doctor had recommended some tests and a sonogram. All her tests and sonogram reports also came normal.
We three sisters give all glory to Jesus for healing and giving us normal reports. We also thank the Rose of Sharon Ministry for praying for us.

Praise the Lord. I had informed Pastor Saroja that my daughter Sara was having a fever for the past few days and requested Pastor to pray for her. Pastor advised me to give her prayer oil in warm water and assured me of her prayers. As Sara was having a fever she advised me to go back home with Sister Lavina in her car, since it was quite breezy and the weather was cold that night. As we proceeded back in the car, within a few minutes Sara started crying. I fed her and after a minute her entire body started shaking. I got scared and tried to check what was happening to her. I called out to Sara but she did not respond to my voice. Suddenly both her eyes went up. She was not responding to my voice and then her mouth started watering. We all got more scared and immediately called up Pastor Saroja. Pastor advised us to bring her back to Church for prayers. Immediately we got her back and Pastor Saroja took Sara in her arms and gave her the prayer oil and prayed over her. Soon after, Sara started crying, and then she was absolutely fine. By God’s grace alone she was miraculously saved. I would say the Lord has given Sara a new life. Millions of praise, glory, and honour to the Lord alone for doing such a big miracle in our life. I also thank Pastor Saroja for praying so fervently for Sara and for always being ready to serve the Lord at any time. Thank You, Jesus.

Praise the Lord. My name is Neha Pandey. My eight-month-old son, one night at 1:30 am, suddenly started vomiting. After vomiting continuously, he was looking very weak and he shut his eyes in tiredness. I was very worried, seeing his condition. My sister had just come that day to stay with us. She gave me the prayer line number of the Rose of Sharon church. After the prayer request was made, my son did not vomit and he slept peacefully till the morning. Just to check and verify his condition with the Doctor, I took my son to the clinic the next day. The Doctor told me that there is no problem and that my son is fine. I give all thanks to Lord Jesus for healing him totally. I also sincerely thank Rose of Sharon Ministry for praying for my son.

A man had been on a long flight from one to place to another. The first warning of the approaching problems came when the sign on the airplane flashed on: Fasten your seat belts. Then, after a while, a calm voice said, “We shall not be serving the beverages at this time as we are expecting a little turbulence; Please be sure your seat belt is fastened.”
As he looked around the aircraft, it became obvious that many of the passengers were becoming apprehensive. Later, the voice of the announcer said, “We are so sorry that we are unable to serve the meal at this time; the turbulence is still ahead of us.” And then the storm broke.
One moment the airplane was lifted on terrific currents of air; the next, it dropped as if it were about to crash. The man confessed that he shared the discomfort and fear of those around him. As he looked around the plane, he could see that clearly all the passengers were upset and alarmed. Some were praying. The future seemed ominous and many were wondering if they would make it through the storm.
Then, he suddenly saw a girl. Apparently, the storm meant nothing to her. She had tucked her feet beneath her as she sat on her seat; she was reading a book very diligently and everything within her small world was calm and orderly. As the plane rose and fell with frightening severity, when all the adults were scared half to death. That marvelous child was completely composed and unafraid. The man could hardly believe his eyes. He lingered to speak to the girl whom he had watched for such a long time and he asked why she had not been afraid and what is so interesting that she is reading it so diligently. Then with a sweet voice, the little child replied, “Sir, it’s not a comic book, but ‘Holy Bible’ And my Dad is the pilot, God is showing my Daddy the way and God will take us back home safely”. As it is written in Acts 16:31 “So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
This Christmas trust completely on Lord and always remember, He came into this world for you and me.
CHRISTMAS, means different things to different people and each person celebrates Christmas as per their own interpretation and perception.
➣ To some, it means a celebration with friends, neighbours and loved ones.
➣ To some, it is a time to visit family members and have a day of feasting and merry.
But….
➣ To some, Christmas, still is, “A CELEBRATION OF THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST.”
Sadly, in today’s times Christmas is too commercialized and people have forgotten the true essence of Christmas! Today’s generation are not schooled correctly by their parents or their teachers, etc. Instead of teaching the children, that if they put on their best behaviour all year round, JESUS CHRIST will bless them, we instil in them, that Santa Claus is watching them and will shower them with gifts during Christmas. Though as a matter of fact, Santa Claus has nothing much to do with the true spirit of Christmas. Hence children start expecting presents and are getting greedier every year and in return, parents are spending a lot of money on presents rather than the things that are actually and truly important. Children have to be taught that, there are more important values and things to do during this season, rather than only expecting material gifts and lavish family celebrations.
What is the true meaning of Christmas celebration?
Christmas, is a very important day in the life of every Christian because our Saviour Jesus Christ was born on that day. But the tragedy is that even today, there are so many Christians who skip church even on Christmas day because either they are out on vacations or entertaining family and friends and attending Christmas service in Church is least on their agenda.
Christmas ought to be a day of celebration with Christ and has to be celebrated in His presence. It is a day which reminds us that God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born and His birth brought great joy to the world. It is a season of great joy because on that chosen day, God showed His great love for us. It is a day where people should reflect about their relationship with Jesus as it is a time for healing and renewed strength with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Why did Jesus come into this world? Why did God send His Son to this sometimes cruel and hard world? He sent Jesus to us so that He would pay the price for all the wrong things we have done. The Bible says that all have sinned. We are all born with a sin nature. We do things that do not please God. Through the sins of Adam and Eve, we have all inherited that sin nature. We need to have that removed. The only way is through Jesus. Jesus came so He could die on the cross for ALL of our sins. If we believe that Jesus died for our sins, we can ask Him to come into our hearts and forgive us.
We can truly be happy at Christmas if only we understand the true meaning of Christmas! No matter if there is chaos all around in the world, if we know that we are His children, we will be at peace, safe and sound under His mighty shadow.
Look at Christmas in a new way this year. This is the year to invite Jesus into your heart. Teach your children and your near and dear ones the true meaning of Christmas and then you with your family can celebrate and experience Christmas in the true sense. The joy and peace you will receive will last all year as you look to God for all your needs to be met.
Always remember…
Jesus Is the Reason for the Season!
Rejoice in Jesus!
Jeremiah 15:19 “Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.” We are special people because we have received God’s grace in our lives. He is the only one, the light that lights up everyone’s life, our Saviour Jesus Christ. He can raise people, and He can bless people. By His blood, we have been redeemed and have become precious. For some of us, our job is important; for others, money is important; while for others it is their family. In our lives, we do give importance to these things. Let us see what was important in Solomon’s life. Proverbs 8:11-12 “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” People are proud of their jobs, qualification, wealth, etc., and they keep on seeking these things in their life. But Solomon gave importance to wisdom and knowledge more than gold and silver. We may have everything but wisdom in our lives; but then we would struggle to maintain and keep all that we have. Wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord. When we have wisdom we can earn everything in our life, but when we have everything and no wisdom, we can easily lose all that we have. Through experience, Solomon boasted not on his wealth; but on the wisdom and knowledge that God had blessed him with. Proverbs 3:13-15 “Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.” Nothing in his life was more important than wisdom and knowledge, and so God blessed him. God does not regard our qualifications, beauty, wealth, etc., but He loves our soul. To save our souls, Jesus sacrificed His life for us. There is no other way to save our soul, except through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. It is by His grace alone that we are saved today. It is because we have received His grace that we are blessed with everything in our life.
Isaiah 53:12 “Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.” What was the reason Jesus Christ sacrificed His life on the Cross? It was for the love of our soul, and not because of our wealth, qualifications, or our jobs. 2 Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Our God is rich, but he became poor for our sakes, that through His poverty we may become rich. He is the King of Kings, by His Word He created Heaven and Earth, and made light. But to make us rich, He had to become poor for our sakes. God loves us. He made us in His own image and gave us His very breath. We are precious in His eyes, and so to make us rich and pull us out of our poverty, He was born into this world. When He was born, there was no place for Him, He had no house nor a pillow to rest on. He travelled from place to place to preach the Word to the Gentiles and captured their hearts and blessed them. He changed lives, He healed the broken-hearted, and set the captives free. He delivered sinners from their sins by becoming poor for our sakes, being born into a carpenter’s household. Jesus was not born on this earth as a King, nor did He perform His service on horseback. Rather, in poverty, He walked from one city to another to preach the Word. Jesus’ ministry was tough, but His only aim was to save the souls of sinners. We could not go to meet Him, hence He came into this world to meet us and save us. Jesus came into this world to meet us sinners, to separate us from darkness, and to give us the gift of life. Today, it is only because of His Grace that we are worthy of something in our life.
Peter and John were ordinary fishermen, they were uneducated men. But when Jesus touched their lives and transformed them, Peter did great miracles in Jesus’ name. People saw the mighty works that Peter did, and feared the Lord, and were converted. Today, we are living only by God’s grace.
In the Holy Scriptures, we know that when Jesus passed a fig tree He was hungry; but when He approached the tree, He found no fruit on it. He cursed the tree and the tree dried and perished immediately. Similarly, we know of the couple who lied before Peter. Even as Peter was correcting the husband, he died instantly. His wife followed and also lied; likewise, she too died instantly. When the people witnessed this, they immediately feared God. Because the grace of God was upon Peter, multitudes swelled up in the Holy Temple. In our lives too, we need not our wealth; we only need the grace of God to do such mighty miracles. We accomplish great deeds only by God’s grace, which our silver and gold cannot.
Acts 5:1-3 “But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?” Peter was an uneducated person, yet after he received the spirit of God He performed such mighty miracles. Acts 5:7-10 “And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.” In the olden days, God’s punishment used to come upon the people immediately like when Jesus cursed the fig tree. Acts 5:11-15 “And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.” With this incident, the multitudes began fearing God, believed in Him, and glorified Him in the temple. Many people were converted after this incident.
God was glorified through Peter, not because of his goodness, wealth, or qualifications. It was only by God’s grace that Peter could do all the good works for God. Even in our lives, it is only by God’s grace that we can be saved, for our money or wealth or qualifications cannot save us. When we receive the grace of God in our life, it transforms us completely and makes us worthy for Him, just like God transformed Peter’s life. Acts 5:15 “Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.”
It is not by any goodness of mine that people have invited me to different places; it is only by God’s grace and His Word that I preach, and the blessings that people receive through the Word, that I am being invited to various places. Even in our lives, we should only hope on the grace of God, and not on any goodness of our own.
Acts 5:16 “There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.” Now, we see here that all type of illnesses and sickness was healed by Peter. People believed that even if his shadow would fall upon them it was enough to heal them. These people’s sicknesses were healed only by the grace of God, not with any money. All who came to Peter in the faith of the Lord were healed, for God’s mighty grace was upon Peter.
Remember, God loves us and he does not desire that even one of us is lost. The devil was not happy with all these miracles and healings, as we read in Acts 5:17 “Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation.” Why were the prominent people and those in power angry at Peter? Because they were jealous of him, and they saw how he was converting the people and healing them. Ultimately, they imprisoned Peter. But God’s work never ceases, though the devil thought that it would, by putting Peter in the prison. God’s works never stops, whether we are put in prison, a furnace, or even in a lion’s den. Our God who neither slumbers nor sleeps, His flaming eyes are always upon us and the works we do. Where God’s work is being prosperous, the devil will never keep quiet. He is a roaring lion, waiting to shred us apart. Multitudes were healed by Peter and God was being glorified from all corners, and many were transformed and accepted the Lord. The evil men were not at peace, and they captured Peter and imprisoned him. But this did not put an end to God’s work, and God’s grace abounded even more mightily where these evil works abounded. The same is true, even in our lives.
1 Peter 1:19-20 “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,” Are we redeemed by the blood of an animal, or by any man’s blood, or even by our money and wealth? We must remember that we are redeemed by the Holy blood of Jesus Christ. We are delivered from our bondage and pulled out of the pit by our God Almighty. Even before the world was created, God had decided to sacrifice His only son Jesus for our sakes. Hence, it is only the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all our sins. Blood of animals sacrificed to the Lord could only cover our sins; but it is the Holy blood of Jesus Christ that can cleanse us and make us whole again. 1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” When we are entwined with our Lord God, it is His blood alone that can redeem and cleanse us. There is no sin that the Holy blood of Jesus cannot cleanse, but we must always be entwined with Him.
Jesus was sent for our sakes into this world, and those who believe in Him become His sons and daughters. He has given us the right to call Him ‘Abba Father.’ John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” To those who believe in His name, He has given the right to become the children of God. Without Him, we can achieve nothing, and it is only by His grace that we have the right to call Him ‘Abba Father.’ His blood is for His people and His people’s lives are transformed. Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
Mankind can be saved only through the grace of God. Our God’s grace is rich and limitless. It is by His grace alone that Jesus fed the multitude of 5000 men, though his disciples said that there was no food and that He should let the people go and eat on the way. It was His grace alone that said: “No let us feed the people and send them, lest they fall on the way.” Jesus fed the multitude of 5000 men with 5 loaves and 2 fish which a boy carried to the meet. This was possible only by God’s grace. God can feed thousands and millions, and His grace cannot be limited.
Even today, He is in our midst and shows us His grace. But how is our faith today? Do we believe in Him? Do we believe that Jesus died for us? Do we believe that His blood alone can cleanse us from all our sins? If we believe, then God will bless us with His grace. After Peter received the grace of God, multitudes came before Peter and they all received the grace of God and received their healing and joy. Though Peter did not have time to heal each one, the people believed that even if his shadow would fall on the sick and ailing they would be healed. Hence multitudes flocked to Peter, and by God’s grace alone, all the multitudes were healed.
Today, we have the same God in our midst. It is our faith in God that wavers from time to time. Our God is an unchanging God, while it is we who are constantly changing. When we believe in Him, we will be saved and become worthy to be called His sons and daughters, and all powers will be given unto us as promised by God. Everything of our Father God belongs to us, but only if we believe.
Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” What high regard Jesus has for you and me. For our sins He was flogged, for our healing he was trampled upon and nailed to the Cross.
Our great God, whose grace is limitless and boundary less; when we receive His grace in our lives, we will be transformed into something wonderful and become a worthy vessel for His glory.
May the Word bring blessings to all who read this! Praise the Lord!

It is with great pleasure that we would like to share the following poem entries received from the different generations of our Rose of Sharon Church. May God bless them for their effort and participating in the activity.
So, here are their personalised Christmas poems:
Oh! How I love Christmas,
It fills every cell of mine with joy!
The atmosphere is filled with carols,
Which gives me unspeakable joy!
On Christmas, Jesus left heaven,
Came to earth, to give life eternal.
Let the spirit of Christmas, lead me on!
Let the spirit of Christmas, lead me on!
Let us dance, sing and shout,
For Jesus our King, was born on Christmas day.
Let us rejoice and be glad,
For the saviour of the world, who came to earth on Christmas day.
Thank you Father, for loving us so much,
That you gave us your One and Only Son.
Who came to earth which was full of darkness,
to give the light of life for all of us.
Thank you Father, for this gift of love,
To give us the gift of eternal life.
Help us, O Father, to value this Gift,
And be faithful to you, to the end of our lives.
I thank you Father for making me your child,
through Christ Jesus, my Saviour and my Lord.
Oh, how I thank you Lord…Oh Lord I thank you..
For loving ME so much! For loving US so much!
Christmas, Christmas, a time for love and joy.
Christmas, Christmas, an amazing time of the year!
To the son of God was given gifts of myrrh, gold, frankincense.
Born in a manager, my saviour and my King,
Angels sang “Hallelujah” to the new born King.
Shepherds flock to see the son of God,
And praised the most High God.
The tree, the ornaments, the decoration aren’t important.
The reason we celebrate is Jesus, Jesus!
A day without Him is an incomplete day,
I need His help everywhere and everyday.
Christmas, Christmas, a time for love and joy,
Christmas, Christmas, an amazing time of the year!

Praise the Lord! Greetings to all my readers with hope and prayers that all of you are safe and healthy! 2020, has just zoomed past away and we are now in the last month of the year. I really would like to give all glory to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ as personally for me 2020, has been a memorable year in so many ways. Thank you Jesus!!!
2020, has literally been a year of teaching! It has taught us a lot of things i.e. what matters in life and actually, how little we need in life to be happy. We as humans just keep running and running round the clock wanting to achieve so much in life but when it comes to saving our respective lives nothing else matters- everything can come to a standstill. It has made us realise that we are moving around with so many unnecessary burdens but at the end of the day, we just need a good shelter, health, food and family around us to survive in this world.
People around the world of different age groups are experiencing what our residents are enjoying in every way at this stage in their life. Our good Lord has been merciful to them and kept all our residents happy, safe and healthy even in these crucial times.
By God’s grace, Maharashtra government has opened up all places of worship w.e.f 16 November,2020. Hence, all the residents are now excited that we can celebrate Christmas wonderfully and with the same grandeur as the past years.
Kindly continue to keep all our residents in your daily prayers.
May the true spirit of Christmas bring in your homes and lives peace, hope and love through JESUS CHRIST.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Your sister in Christ,
Pastor Saroja M
Praise the Lord! Even during these pandemic times we thank our Almighty God in helping us to conduct the Sunday School exams. It’s been a different journey of teaching the kids via online classes and conducting of the online exams.
As quickly as our kids adopted to the online study mode, we were able to conduct the online exams and observe a better participation and results this year around.
We are glad to announce the top performers for the year 2020.
Though this has been a challenging year for all the people around the world. We are blessed and thankful to our Almighty Lord for enabling us to stay connected with our little ones and continue in spreading the word of God.
Do continue to uplift our little ones in your prayers.
