I greet you all in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I believe the Lord was with you all in the past month and I pray the presence of the Lord be with you always.
When Jesus entered Jerusalem the people asked in surprise: who is this? Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon and Judas? And his sisters are they not all with us? So they were offended at Him.
The people of Nazareth where Jesus grew up also were offended in Jesus. The people looked to Jesus in a worldly way as they did not know the true Jesus. They thought in a fleshly manner that Jesus was the carpenter’s son, and eventually put Him on the cross.
Beloved ones, in your lives it is necessary to know Jesus.
Jesus has given His life for our sakes on the cross. John 1:29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, so that believing, you may have life in His name.
Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man am? They replied without understanding who Jesus really is: “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Thousands of years ago in the Garden of Eden, the word was given that the seed of woman would crush the head of the serpent. It was given by the Messiah. After that time, several prophets have given many prophecies of Jesus.
When Jesus came into this world, the god of this world blinded the people’s minds so that the people should not understand Him.
Who is Jesus? He is the Word. From the beginning He was with God, and He is God.
John the Baptist said Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of this world.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus’ disciple – Andrew proclaimed Jesus to be the Messiah. Messiah means Christ. John 1:41 “He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.”
Nathanael said to Jesus: John 1:41 “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
The Samaritans said in John 4: 42 “And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”
The disciple of Jesus, Thomas said in John 20:28 “And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.”
Jesus once asked His disciples: ‘who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter said “You are Christ the son of the Living God.” This answer did not come through Peter’s understanding but was revealed to him through the heavenly Father. Jesus was very happy and said in Matthew 16:17 “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
You need the revelation of who Jesus is. If you have the revelation you will have the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. Then in this world you will not be a tail but you will be a head, and Hell can never prevail against you.
So open your mouth and confess that Jesus is the son of God.
The Israelites were waiting for the deliverer who would come for them. Messiah means the one sent by the Father. Christ means the anointed one or the anointer. Emmanuel means God is with us.
When the Pharisees were gathered together Jesus asked them “What do you think about Christ? Whose Son is He? They said to Him, “The son of David.”
The answer given by the Pharisees to Jesus’ question was that Christ is the Son of David. Matthew 22:43-46 ‘He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.”
If you really are thirsty to know who Jesus your creator is, God will reveal Himself to you. Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in Truth. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you. But if you forsake Him, he will forsake you.
So my beloved ones, the Lord wants to reveal himself to you. If you have a pure heart and the surroundings are peaceful it is easy to find the Lord.
Select a time early in the morning and go before he Lord in reverence into his presence. Proverbs 8:17 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
My beloved, this year, continue loving the Lord and the Lord will love you.
God Bless You all.
In the Lord’s service,
Pastor Saroja M
Praise the Lord. This is to testify about my husband Omprakash. He was sick for the last one year. He was on the bed all the time and I, his wife had to attend to all his needs. He also had bed sores. Since I am also old and could not take care of my husband as I should have, I called the Rose of Sharon Prayer warrior for prayers for my husband to be delivered of his sufferings. I praise the Lord for answering these prayers, as my husband passed away the very next day in answer to these prayers. I thank the Rose of Sharon Church prayer team for praying and God for answering.

As this year draws to an end, I want to praise and glorify our Lord God for HIS mighty works in my life in 2017. Our good Lord has been merciful and bountiful upon me. In the month of Oct’17 my husband had testified that our house which could not be sold for a long time, was sold off this year. In Nov’17, through Pastor Saroja’s divine advise and prayers alone, God blessed us with a beautiful house in Mira Road, beyond our expectations. It is only His Mercy and Grace upon my family and me that we are blessed with this house. Still marvelous is HIS works, my husband purchased the house in our joint names, this is truly God’s Grace alone! I just want to praise, glorify, honor and thank God’s Holy name for this miracle in my life. Every battle concerning our house, whether sale or purchase is only victory to Lord Jesus.

Praise the Lord. My daughter’s friend Anita who works with her had a gland in her chest. I gave her the prayer oil with instructions to apply the same daily over the area. She used it daily and by the grace of Lord Jesus her gland disappeared. Millions of thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His miracle in her life and thanks to Pastor Saroja who prays for the prayer oil every fasting prayer.
*Sis. Susamary Francis, Goregoan.
Praise the Lord. The Lord is gracious and the way He works is amazing. I would like to testify on behalf of my brother. In the month of Dec 2017, my brother called and told me that he had sent his passport application to Mumbai for some work and the procedures were getting delayed because of which would affect his airport pass and visa renewal in Dubai. He sounded very worried and requested me to go the police station to find out details. Hearing him, I told my mother Pastor Saroja about his problems and requested her to pray as I knew that only prayers could sort this out and I was very afraid. But I can truly say by only God’s grace and Pastor Saroja’s prayers, whoever I spoke to at the Vakola Police Station, The CID branch in Mumbai and also the Passport office, all of them were so helpful and helped the papers to move smoothly from all the offices within 10 days and my brother received his passport in Dubai in time. Now he is applying for his airport pass renewals etc within the time frames. I would like to give millions of thanks to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ because true to His word which He had spoken in the Bible “I will give you favour amongst men” was proved to me this time. Thank you Pastor Saroja for your earnest prayers without which our Lord would not have performed this miraculous work in the life of my brother. Thank you Jesus.

There was a professor of philosophy who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn’t exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever really gone against him because of his reputation. At the end of every semester on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, “If there is anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!”
In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, “Because anyone who believes in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that He is God, and yet He can’t do ” it.” And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. All of the students would do nothing but stop and stare. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.
Well, a few years ago there was a freshman who happened to enroll. He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about his professor. He was required to take the class for his major, and he was afraid. But for three months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said, or what the class thought. Nothing they said could ever shatter his faith…he hoped.
Finally, the day came. The professor said, “If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!” The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, “You FOOL!!! If God existed, he would keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!”
He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleat of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away unbroken. The professor’s jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man, and then ran out of the lecture hall.
The young man who had stood, proceeded to walk to the front of the room and shared his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God’s love for them and of His power through Jesus.
JESUS can work through any one and He is always searching for a willing heart. If we only have the courage to stand and testify about JESUS, He will take care of the rest. Be strong, Be Bold and testify about JESUS.
Proverbs 16:20 “He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.” In our life we need both wisdom and faith. When both these attributes are within a man, he is a blessed person. However wise a person may be, without God’s wisdom he is worthy for nothing. When I visit various places for meetings, I meet people who are highly qualified, who have great degrees added to their name, yet they lack peace since they have no jobs or proper salary or live an unsettled life. In their lives, they have some lack or another. But those who have God’s wisdom and faith in Him, have gained life. Psalm 37:3-5 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” In our life, however wise or qualified we may be, if our faith is not in God our own wisdom is futile. Many a time parents remark ‘We never thought our child would do so well and get such a good job and settle down so quickly. It is by God’s grace alone our child is settled down in life.” This is because of their faith in God that they have been blessed. We must always maintain a good relationship with God. God must be pleased with our life every day. Our God is an impartial God, He is partial to none. He sees our hearts and not our outward behaviour. Whether our works for Him are small or big, or whether in joy or pain; we must never bring any hindrance into our relationship with God. We must give our every request in God’s hand and believe that He will accomplish it in our life. Thus wisdom and faith in God alone can bring blessings in a person’s life.
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” We should never walk in our own wisdom and understanding, but rather put our faith and trust in Lord God alone. Many a times we trust God only partially, keeping the rest of our faith in our own self or our parents, spouse, children etc. Our God is a jealous God, He desires that we love Him and put our faith in Him with all our heart and soul and mind. Psalm 125:1-2 “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” Those who put their entire faith and trust in God are like the Mountain of Zion. Just as Mount Zion covers Jerusalem from all sides, so also God’s love covers us from all four sides. But we must love the Lord will all our heart, mind and soul. This is the secret of David’s faith in God. Even after he became the King of Israel, he never put his faith and trust on either horses or the horsemen who would fight his battle, but his faith was stayed only on the Lord God for his victory. Hence he won every battle in his life and experienced victory over victory.
Psalm 118:1-29 “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them. Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me. The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar. Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
David was a wise man, he put his entire trust and faith in God alone. However wise we or our families may be, unless our faith is stayed upon God, we will never be blessed in our life. Right from the time David was a shepherd boy and even when he became the king of Israel, his faith and trust remained upon God alone. Though he used his wisdom from time to time to accomplish his tasks, yet his faith and trust was stayed on God alone. Hence God stood by David and delivered him from every enemy and also gave him victory in all his battles.
We must remember that God has kept some responsibility for each one of us. He has kept his law and commandments for us to obey and to follow. Proverbs 8:34 “Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.” Blessed is the one who obeys the Lord’s command and watches over His gates to hear His voice every day.
Our Lord God provided the Israelites manna to eat. From that manna they derived their strength, their sweat never stank nor did any disease strike them. But God had kept a commandment for them, i.e. they had to go and collect fresh manna every day. Exodus 16:4 “Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or not.” This was the responsibility God had given them. As we have just read in Proverbs, where it says, “Blessed is he who sits at my gate and hears my Word,” the Lord God expects that however rich we may be or however wise we may be, we must always be alert to watch over his gate and hear His voice through the Word. The Israelites were commanded by God for forty years to collect manna daily. By doing this, God tested their hearts and faith in Him, as to whether they were following His command and obeying it. Similarly we should also keep our faith and trust on His Word, obey it and walk according to it in our lives. Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” For forty years when God had commanded the Israelites to collect manna, He wanted them to be blessed without any illness or sickness in their bodies. The heavenly manna also signifies the ‘Word’; when we ponder upon the living Word day and night, we will be successful in our lives and accomplish every difficult endeavour in our lives.
During the times of Nehemiah, a similar rule was made for the people. Nehemiah 8:18 “When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.” God had commanded the people to read the ‘Book of Law of the Lord’ every day. Even today God has given us the responsibility to read the Word and we must ensure that we accomplish it. To become the blessed children of God, we must read and ponder His Word.
Today, our children have the best of bibles in their hands, but the bible is not a toy, rather it is the Word of God that should be diligently read and obeyed. Many people do not have a bible to read, hence we must not give fancy bible in the hands of our children. Rather, the parents must read the bible to the children every day. The Bible is the living Word and when we read the Word we are blessed; for the Bible is a living Word and soul. The Bible must never be considered as a toy for children, thus bringing upon ourselves the wrath of God.
Just as we have read in Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper,” the importance of the Word must be etched across our hearts. As the Israelites collected manna daily, today we must turn to the ‘Word’ and read it daily in our lives too. Thereafter when we ‘watch and pray’, surely God will hear and answer us.
David says in Psalm 88:9 “Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.” In sorrow, David says his eyes are tired, yet he is not physically wearied, for daily his hands are raised up to the Lord God. Psalm 61:8 “So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.” David says that he will continue to sing praises to the name of God, as per the responsibility God has given David. Though his eyes be tired and weak, yet according to God’s command, David would continue to praise, testify and worship God. When we become a testimony for God’s mighty doings in our lives, God will forever bless us. Isaiah 58:11 “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” We must never shy to testify about God’s mighty doings. We may bless God a hundred percent, but God blesses us forever and forever and hence we must continue to testify about the Lord’s doing in our life.
When David grew old, he called his son Solomon and told him in 1 Chronicles 22:11 “Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.” David desired much to build a great temple for the Lord as he loved the House of the Lord. Psalm 27:4 “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” David desired much to build a temple for the Lord. He collected everything carefully and just at the time of building the temple God spoke to David in 2 Samuel 7:12-16 “And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.” Because of David’s desire to build a great temple for the Lord, the Lord instead chose his son Solomon to build this temple. Since David had fought many battles and his hands were stained with blood, God passed on the blessing of building Him a temple to David’s son, Solomon. 1 Chronicles 22:11 “Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.” All the gold, silver and materials David accumulated with a desire to build God’s temple, God made him pass on the same to his son Solomon. 1 Chronicles 22:14-19 “Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work. Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee. David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying, Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.” There was no lack in anything that David accumulated to build the temple of God. David called his son and handed over everything to him and asked him to build the temple for the Lord. He encouraged his son and assured him that God was with him and told him that the people were with him to support him to build this temple. David also called his people and told them to support his son Solomon in building the temple for the Lord.
God loves us very much and thus prepares a way to follow Him and keep His commandments. As in the olden times where God commanded the Israelites to collect manna every day, likewise today God has made a commandment for the people to read His Word even as the Israelites would collect and eat manna daily. Today, the Lord God tells us that when we read His Word day and night, we will be blessed. We must only trust the Lord without any doubt and have faith in Him regardless of anything in this world. It is only God’s wisdom and our faith in Him that brings victory into our lives. God is always against men who use their own wisdom and who do not put their trust and faith in Him. He resists the proud, but shows His grace to the humble. Our love for God must be of the highest order.
Today, we have faith that we will be raised along with Jesus Christ when He comes to take away His elect. Unlike the times of Elisha and Elijah where people were raised from the dead, but had to physically die once again; even in our lowly state as sinners, we have gained life through the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Yes, there will be a day that will come in our lives that we must die. But after that, the Spirit that raised Jesus Christ will also rise us again with the second coming of Christ when He comes to take His elect. We all know that those who die in Christ will be raised up first when Jesus comes. We must strive to be amongst these dead in Christ. This should be our desire. By eating God’s manna daily through reading His Word, obeying His commandments and walking in perfect righteousness, we can have a part in being raised from the dead when Christ comes to take His elect. In Hebrews 11:35 “Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:” Many women desired to rise again with Christ during His second coming. For this they were prepared to undergo all the trials in their current lives. In the bible we see that several people were raised from the dead. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Jairus’ daughter was raised from the dead. Elisha and Elijah both separately raised a widow’s child from the dead. Here we see that some who died physically were brought back to life. But the women in Hebrews 11:35 did not desire to be raised from the dead in this manner, rather their desire was to rise with Jesus Christ during His second coming, so they endured trials and tribulations in their current lives. Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” They desired to be raised with Christ again and sit on His right side in the heavenly place. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” Because of sin, many have died. But because of Christ, many will rise again. Thus, it is important for us not to live a life of Adam, rather we must live a life of Christ. When we live a life of Christ, we will be persecuted and be put to shame. We cannot enjoy life, rather we will have to suffer in this life. The choice is in our hand – to choose Adam’s death or Christ’s death. The Word says that such people will be blessed whose eyes are stayed on God’s gate, giving heed to His Word. When we live for Christ, the Spirit that raised Christ will raise us too. We too will be privileged to be seated on the right hand of Jesus Christ. But if we choose to live Adam’s life in this world, we will live for our family and die in sin.
Jesus Christ gave His life for you and me, so that the punishment of our sins should not fall upon us. He took our sins and died on the Cross of Calvary, gaining victory over the evil one. The world today shows us only false love, and if we believe in it, we will all die like Adam. David cried to the Lord “Open my eyes to see the spiritual truth and blessings.” Unless the Lord God opens our spiritual eyes, we can never see the spiritual truth, for the evil one has blinded us. We must trample the evil one, not with our wisdom and knowledge, but in the name of our Lord God. Hebrews Chapter 11 has recorded the lives of those who lived and died for Christ, and their trials and tribulations are recorded in this chapter. Our endeavour should always be to lift up the name of our Lord God higher and higher. Our wisdom must come from the Lord and our faith must be in God alone. Our God is alive today, He is our living God. He hears and answers us. When we fear the Lord God, He will bless us and complete us with His wisdom.
May this message brings blessings into every life who reads this message.
Pastor Saroja M
Praise the Lord! A start to a new year- new beginnings for our Sunday School children … another year going to be filled with learning of new songs, bible characters, stories and loads of memory verse and little activities.
As we began Sunday School this year we started to study the book of Psalms. We picked up the 1st chapter of Psalms which help the kids to learn to differentiate that we are the children of the Light and our life is only complete when we have complete faith in Christ Jesus and to keep our feet away from walking into what is wrong.
They also learnt the story from Matthew 7:24-27 which helps the little one to understand that our foundation needs to be built on the rock which is Christ Jesus. Unlike the people in the world who are foolish and are building their house on the sand which is just temporary and can be tossed by a single blow of the wind.
Further the kids were asked to memorize the memory verse i.e. Psalms 1:1 and it was surprising to have the little kids recite the verse completely and more fluently. Of which Irwin and Joel were able to recite the complete memory verse.
May God continue to Bless our children and may they continue to grow in the shadow of the Almighty.

As we do every year, this year too, the little children, youth, married couples and women fellowship of Rose of Sharon Church, practiced for 2 whole months diligently, to put up action packed performances for the Annual Christmas Program held on 22nd of December 2017.
The evening started off with Pastor Saroja praying and blessing the event. Sister Padma was the compere for the evening and managed the entire evening beautifully keeping us all in a zesty mood and spirit.
The Sunday School children started off with their action songs ‘Chotasa David’ and ‘Light of the World’ which the children performed very well with great confidence and joy.
This was followed by fabulous performances by the Youth that had very powerful messages of overcoming every evil through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
Their acts were truly spirit filled, beautifully choreographed and very well performed; having the audience in raptures, shouting “once more, once more!”
The Women fellowship, performed solo songs and solo dances which were very well performed. They also put up skits, group songs and dances which were enjoyed by one and all.
The married couples, put up some fabulous dance performances and group songs. All together they shored up their performances to add to the gaiety and Yuletide spirit.
This was followed with a beautiful tableau performance that always takes us back to Bethlehem, that night when Jesus was born in a manger with the angels and the shepherds and also the 3 kings who came to revere Jesus with their gifts!
The entire hall was filled with the Christmas Spirit of peace, joy and gladness and the crowd that attended the program were filled with a mood of celebrations.
Then Pastor invited the star of the evening – Santa Claus, to join the celebrations. He was much awaited by all the crowd – young and old! He entered dancing and many brothers and sisters joined him in making merry. Santa went around distributing Christmas goodies to all the children who were very excited as he had arrived finally.
Later the Sunday School children happily received their gifts and everybody was in a mood for Celebration!
