Praise the Lord, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. In the coming month, I hope and pray that each of you continues to abide under the mighty shadow of our Saviour, Jesus Christ!
Psalm 91:11-12 “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
The pain and suffering we face in this world must not weaken us, and instead, we must transform the same and strengthen our faith in Christ. When God sees the faith we have in Him, even during our hardships, He showers us with His mercy and saves us through His abundant grace. When we are strengthened in our faith, then God is not far from us; He will give us victory in every situation we face and will restore all the blessings in our lives once again.
Mark 13:13 “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”
In difficult situations, it is very easy to lose faith and grumble against God. In fact, that is what the evil one is waiting for. In Job’s life, through his wife, the devil tried to make Job blame God for all the mishaps in his life. Yet, even at that time when Job lost everything, he did not blame God. He trusted God, and in the end, emerged victorious. Likewise, in our lives, when we face trouble, know that God our Redeemer lives, and He will sustain us and make us victorious in all our troubles.
Our heart must be focused on the Cross, then all our humiliation will be nothing. We should gather our courage from the people mentioned in the Holy Bible, and always remember that if they in their human form could face troubles and be victorious, so can we in our respective lives.
Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Always rejoice in the Lord in every situation, and trust that God will give us only as much as we can bear. In the interim period, we must never forget our relationship with God. The devil always wants us to grumble, be angry in life, and curse God. But God’s word says, ‘Rejoice in the Lord always.’
Psalm 139:8-11 “If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me;
We must realise that there is no place on earth where we can hide from our God; for whether we are in the depths of the sea, or ascended into the heavens, our God watches us everywhere. Hence, we must take all our pain and joy to God’s feet with fear and thanksgiving, trusting and believing that in time He will save and redeem us, and lift us to heights of blessings that we cannot imagine.
Hence, dear children of God, no matter what situation you are facing in your lives, just plainly and blindly trust God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and He will take care of everything, and once again restore your life. This is a promise from our Living God, JESUS!
Your sister in Christ,
Pastor Saroja M
Praise the Lord. I wish to testify of the Lord’s great doings in my life, and give thanks to our spiritual mother, Pastor Saroja, for her sincere prayers for me. I was pitching for business from Marriott Hotels International for Online Sales Workshops for their Pan India salespersons, and I requested Pastor to pray for me. To my delight, by God’s grace, the Lord answered her prayer, and my company was confirmed for this assignment with business that would continue till the year end. Also, it gave us an entry into the world’s largest hotel group (Marriott Hotels), something which we did not have since the beginning. Apart from this, I have been blessed with good business orders over the next couple of months from other companies as well, and I give all glory to God for His blessings!
Thank you, dear Pastor, for your constant spiritual guidance and prayers for me. Thank you, dear Lord Almighty, for your love upon me.

Praise The Lord. The day my daughter Srishti was born, the doctor had given her IV in her right hand to inject medicine. When the IV was removed, Srishti developed a fungal infection (boils) in the area where the needle had been inserted. The doctor gave an ointment which I applied, but the infection would disappear for two days and then appear back again. This happened for 5 months.
After 5 months, I applied the prayer oil over the infected area for 3 months continuously, and from that day till now, by the Lord’s grace, the fungal infection has vanished, and till date it has not re-appeared.
I thank our dear Pastor Saroja for praying over the prayer oil. I give millions of thanks to our Lord Almighty for healing Srishti’s hand infection though the prayer oil.

Praise the Lord. I retired in June 2022. When I was working, every March we used to get our bonus. It used to be a month I expectantly and happily looked forward to. God’s grace is so immense, that this year too, unexpectedly, He blessed me with a bonus. In the month of March 2023, I received a letter from my company informing me that the bonus of the previous year would be credited to my account. My joy knew no bounds. I just praise, glorify, and thank Jesus for this wonderful and marvellous doing in my life. Surely, as the Word proclaims that God is always mindful of His children, I am giving this testimony for His glory. All glory and honour, only to you, Lord Jesus! Thank You, Jesus!
I also whole-heartedly thank our Pastor Saroja for her support, love, and continuous prayers which cover me with the grace, mercy, and kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
*Sis. June Anchan, Mira Road.
Praise the Lord. I hold a very responsible and high position in the Government department. However, many of my colleagues do not follow ethical principles and resort to corrupt practises. Since I am a born-again believer in Christ, I would not agree to be a part of this. Due to this, I would be harassed at my workplace, and I would experience a lot of stress and tension. I do watch the Rose of Sharon Church Programs regularly, and so, I requested for prayer. The Prayer Warrior prayed for me, and subsequently, today, I have a lot of peace at my workplace. All glory, honour, and praise to our Almighty Lord Jesus. I also sincerely thank the Rose of Sharon team for their prayer support for me.

Praise the Lord. I woke up one morning, and experienced stiffness and pain on the right side of my neck and shoulder. This lasted the entire day, and I kept massaging the blessed prayer oil over the affected area. At night, the pain increased, and I felt like applying some quick relief ointment. But I did not do this, and applied the blessed prayer oil in faith, all over the side that was paining. By God’s grace I had a peaceful sleep that night, and in the morning, all the pain had vanished, and I felt good. I give all glory, honour, and praise to my dear Lord Jesus for healing me. I sincerely thank Pastor Saroja for praying over the Prayer oil, and for her fervent prayers for me always. Thank You Jesus!
*Sis. Evangela Roberts, Mumbai.
From her bedroom window, Rebecca eyed the children playing in the snow enviously. How she longed to play with them!
“Now, Rebecca,” she remembered her father telling her that morning. “You can’t play in the snow today.”
“Why not, Father?” Rebecca had asked. Every day, the neighbourhood children gathered at a park just behind Rebecca’s house. “Just trust me, Rebecca. It’s not what’s best for you today,” her father had replied.
At the time, Rebecca had responded by kissing her father on his cheek and assuring him that she would stay inside and read. But now, she was having second thoughts. It is beautiful outside, she thought to herself. It was true: the sun was shining brilliantly. Why wouldn’t her father let her go out to play? Why should she have to miss out on all the fun?
When a snowball exploded just outside her window, Rebecca decided she could not stand it any longer. She simply had to go join the others! Leaving her book on the table, Rebecca slipped outside. She tried to tell herself she was having a good time, but all the while her heart felt uncomfortable. She kept looking this way and that, fearful, lest her father sees her.
After a few hours, Rebecca finally said her goodbyes and headed back towards the house. She wanted to be safely lodged in her room before her father came home. Intent on getting to her room as quickly as possible, Rebecca didn’t see the mitten someone had left on the stairs until her foot slipped on it. Next thing she knew, she had fallen several stairs. To her horror, she noticed that she had hit her father’s favorite picture when she fell! A huge gash ran along the front of the picture.
Normally, Rebecca would have hurried immediately to her father after such a fall so he could doctor her up and make her feel better. But not this time. How could she face her father right now? She had disobeyed him and ruined his favorite picture! Biting her lips to keep from crying out, Rebecca grabbed the ruined picture and hobbled to her room.
For the remainder of the day, she lay in agony. Her body ached from the bruises she received on her fall. But her heart – ah, that ached worst of all! She felt certain that her father would no longer love her. She had messed up in the past, but surely this time she had gone too far! He would probably never want to speak to her again. How could he still love her? She sobbed uncontrollably on her pillow. She had always been close to her father. They had played and studied together. They had laughed and cried together. But not now. No, she felt certain that all those wonderful times were over.
Who knows how long she would have lain thus, had not her nanny come in to check on her. Rebecca’s nanny had a way about her of finding out exactly what was wrong, and offering solid, wise counsel. Tonight, was no exception. “Rebecca, dear,” she said firmly, but gently. “You’ve been very wrong. But you must not continue in your wrongness by sitting here. You must go to your father with the broken picture in your hand and tell him everything.” Rebecca sobbed and said “Oh, but I can’t! I’m not worthy of His love!” Her nanny sighed patiently, “You were no more worthy of it yesterday than today, child. Your father loves you because you’re his daughter, not because of anything you do or don’t do. Hasn’t he told you every day since you were a little girl, ‘I love you’? Do you doubt his word? Do you really think his love is dependent on you?”
Doubt his word – that was an angle Rebecca had never thought of before. Maybe she should go see her father… yes, she must go see him, for if she didn’t, she’d never be able to rest.
So, still shaking and trembling with fear, Rebecca limped down the hall to the living room. She paused at the doorway. Her father was sitting in his favorite chair, just like he did every night. He looked up when she entered, and a smile radiating with love illuminated his face.
“Ah, you’ve come at last! I’ve been waiting. Come, sit here on my lap.” As he spoke, he opened his arms widely. Rebecca could not stand it. “Oh, you don’t understand, Father! You can’t love me anymore. I have been terribly wicked and…” Rebecca held up the picture frame for her father to see. “I know, Rebecca – more than you think. I watched you go outside. I watched you fall and hit the picture frame. I saw it all.” Rebecca was flabbergasted. “You did? But-but weren’t you at work? Why did you not stop me then?”
Her father shook his head. “I took the day off to spend some special time with you. That’s why I told you not to go outside to play. Ever since I saw you fall; I’ve been longing for you to come to me so I can bandage your wounds and help you. Won’t you come now?”
Rebecca could hardly believe her ears. Her father had planned to spend the afternoon with her… and she had missed it. Oh, what foolishness! Yet, her father knew it all… and loved her anyway. Could it be? “But, Father, how can you love me now?”
Rebecca’s father smiled a smile she would never forget. “Rebecca, dear, I loved you before you were born. You’re my daughter, And I will always love you. Although sometimes your actions will result in consequences you could have avoided, nothing can ever separate you from my love. Now won’t you come and let me help you with those bruises?”
Likewise, is our Heavenly Father’s love for us:
HE KNOWS when we are about to cross the boundaries, He has laid for us.
HE KNOWS when we are about to disobey His word and walk on our own wisdom.
HE KNOWS that we are hiding from His presence because we have gone against His advice.
Remember, HE KNOWS IT ALL!
But through all this,
HE WAITS for us to repent of our wrong doings.
HE WAITS for us realize our mistake.
HE WAITS for us to confess our sins and
HE WAITS for us to come back to Him.
Remember, HE WAITS!
Hence, as a child, it is OUR DUTY to go back to our Heavenly Father. We must realize our foolishness, repent, and go back to HIM! And when you go back to Him with a repentant and truthful heart, then HE WILL FORGIVE ALL YOUR SINS, AND EMBRACE YOU BACK with abundance of love!
Chronicles 19:13 “Be of good courage, and let us behave ourselves valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his sight.” When we live our lives courageously and are strong in the Lord, we can win many victories in our lives. We can also save our spirituality and bring glory to God’s name. In the Bible, we see Joseph’s life; he lived a strong and courageous life with the Lord, hence he could preserve his spirituality and run away from the temptation of sin, thereby glorifying God’s name in his life. God’s people must never possess a guilty conscience. 1 John 3:21-22 “Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” Our hearts must never have a reason to condemn us. When we believe in God and surrender ourselves completely into His Hands, we will never be condemned. God will then protect us, and when we ask anything in His name, He will bless us; as we keep His commandment and do His will. In Isaiah 48:22, we read that the Lord says, ‘There is no peace, unto the wicked.’ We can obtain solace and peace, but only when we confess and hand over our sins and iniquities into God’s Hands. We will be blessed with peace when God forgives our sins and never remembers them again. Our guilt and shame will be taken away from us and we can once again be courageous and strong in the Lord.
Acts 28:31 “Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” The Apostle Paul preached about God with great courage, and without any hindrance, for he was courageous for the Lord. When we give ourselves into God’s Hands, believe in Him, and are washed by His blood, then we will be filled with His Spirit, and we will become courageous in our lives. We will have the grace of God, and whatsoever we desire, He will fulfill in our lives. Hebrews 10:19 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.” We become courageous in life only when we are washed by the blood of God.
In the Old Testament, we read the story of Elijah’s victory on Mount Carmel, where Prophet Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. He told them to call on their gods to consume the sacrifice set before them. However, the prophets of Baal were not successful in this challenge set before them by Elijah. In the earlier days of the Bible, we have seen the miracles that Moses performed, which were emulated by Pharaoh’s magicians. Moses converted his rod into a snake, and so did Pharaoh’s magicians with their rods. Through Moses, God converted the water into blood, which the magicians did as well. In different ways, the devil imitated God’s miracles. But here we see how before Prophet Elijah, the prophets of Baal could not perform the same miracle as Elijah. Prophet Elijah teased the prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18:27 “And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.” The gods of Baal did not answer the false prophets, and could not perform the miracle. After this, Prophet Elijah told the people, ‘Let us praise our God and call on Him. Make an altar and cut the sacrifice into many pieces and make a trench all around the altar so that it can hold the water.’
Why did Elijah tell his people to put enough water on the sacrifice? The false prophets, sorcerers, and magicians used to fool the people and bring fire out of the stones onto the sacrifice through nefarious means.
Prophet Elijah knew this, so he told the people to put water around the sacrifice. Now, in faith and courage, Elijah called out to God and God sent fire from the heavens to quench the sacrifice. Everything was consumed, and even the water in the trench dried off.
Remember, we will never be condemned when we give ourselves completely into God’s Hands.
1 John 3:21-22 “Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” When we ask anything in His name, God will bless us and grant it to us, if we have kept His commandment and performed His will. The Prophet Elijah had no guilt in him, and he stood courageously and boldly in the name of the Lord God. 1 Kings 18:33-38 “And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.”
In front of our enemies, we must have courage and boldness for God’s works in our hearts. To gain this courage, we need to cast off our guilt. Without this act of clearing ourselves from our guilt, we will never obtain success or victory. In the New Testament, we see God’s disciples perform miracles in His name, but the disciples of the devil also perform similar miracles with great power; but, in the end, the victory is only the Lord’s. From the beginning, we have seen that the devil imitates God’s works. Elijah did not allow the devil to perform the miracle, and instead, our Lord God’s name was glorified. Elijah said in 1 Kings 18:36-38 “And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.” The fire from Heaven consumed the altar made of mud and stones, along with the sacrifice, which it quenched along with the water completely. Similarly, our faith in God must be strong, for God’s love, His works, His will, and His plans for us are beyond any comparison in this world. We must know this fact, understand it, and accept it in our lives, only then our Lord God can bless us. For us, our God sends fire from heaven. This is not the ordinary fire of this world, but it is His fire from Heaven. This fire came down after Elijah called upon God, and it consumed the altar, the sacrifice, the wood, and the stones, and it also quenched the water. 1 Kings 18:38-40 “Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God. And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.” The people, seeing this wondrous miracle, proclaimed, ‘The Lord, He is God, the Lord, He is God.’ Thereafter, Elijah captured all the prophets of Baal and persecuted them. These false prophets were a troublesome lot in Israel; they were magicians and sorcerers, and they destroyed the lives of the Israelites with their evil works, hence Elijah ordered them to be killed.
1 Kings18:36-37 “And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.” We know that Elijah did all this according to the will of God. God will not spare anyone who wants to bring destruction, sorrow, and pain to the Israelites. Our God neither slumbers nor does He sleep, but He watches upon His children always. We are the apple of His Eye, hence we must never let any guilt discourage us. Hand over all your guilt into God’s Hands, only then will you become courageous in your lives.
1 Chronicle 17:25 “For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.” David remembered what God did in his life, and found it in his heart to pray for it. This made David courageous.
Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” When the people saw the boldness and courage of Peter and John, they marvelled, for, until then they were only uneducated fishermen. The people were surprised as to how they become so courageous, and they were astonished to see these unlearned fishermen preaching.
When we are with Jesus’ people, we are blessed with boldness and courage. We know of Caleb and Joshua, who were both God’s beloved and chosen children. We do not know who was more beloved to God – Caleb or Joshua but is written in the Old Testament that Joshua prayed over Caleb; therein we know that God gave Joshua the right to pray over Caleb. Through this, we can conclude that Joshua was bolder than Caleb. Joshua 14:13 “And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.” Joshua blessed Caleb, and God blessed Joshua with more strength, love, and boldness. We need to know that God does not look at our goodness or greatness; He looks at our hearts. He looks at our obedience, boldness, and love for Him. Accordingly, God will bless us in our lives.
1 Corinthians 15:41 “There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.” The glory of the moon is different from the glory of the sun, while the glory of the stars is different from each another; but the light of one star can recognize the light of another star. Daniel 12:3 “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
Several years ago, many people were against our ministry, and they used to talk irrelevant things about the ministry, without knowing us or anyone from within the ministry. They also complained to some mighty servants of God against our ministry. We did nothing about it, we only prayed and kept this problem at the Lord’s feet. Once, while travelling to Tamil Nadu during the construction of our Rose of Sharon, Tamil Nadu Ministry, I met Bro. Rabindranath at the airport. We looked at each other and I said, ‘Praise the Lord,’ and he responded likewise. Later, he got up and came up to me, and spoke to me saying, ‘I see a bright light within you.’ I replied, ‘Praise the Lord.’ I got around twenty minutes to talk with him, and I cleared many misconceptions and alarming things he had heard against our ministry, and he promised he would pray for me and our ministry. On this earth, only the brightness of a star can recognize the brightness of another star. When we have no boldness and courage, we cannot do our Lord’s work and advance His work in this world. In our lives, we must give our guilt and conscience into God’s hands, for only then can we shine bright as a star for the Lord. When we have the light of God within us, everyone will see the light shining within us, and we can then spread it around the world. Bro. Rabindranath thereafter inaugurated our Tamil Nadu Rose of Sharon Ministry, and I was also invited to preach at his ‘Jesus Comes Ministry.’ We maintained a relationship for God’s glory alone. The world may not recognize the light within us, but God’s people can recognize the light within us.
Jesus Christ chose His 12 disciples, and He did everything along with these disciples. They prayed together, ate together, and they travelled together. But, when the time came for Jesus Christ to show His glory, he chose only three of them, for he thought them worthy to see it. Mathew 17:1-3 “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.” Jesus chose Peter, James, and John from amongst His disciples and took them along to see His glory.
We must work boldly and courageously for the Lord. How much do we love Him? What will we do for Him? We must be washed by His blood and obtain His grace in our lives. Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but the Spirit of boldness and courage. Our God boldly took the Cross of our sins upon Himself and gave His life for us. When we accept our Lord God boldly and receive our salvation, there is rejoicing in Heaven. When a lost soul is found, there is always rejoicing in Heaven.
Let us read the parable of the lost coin. Luke 15:7-10 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”
In the end, our judgement is in our Father’s hands, and our salvation will be celebrated in Heaven. 2 Corinthians 6:18 “And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” Our Almighty God, our Creator, has purchased us with His precious blood, and He will be our Father, and we will be His sons and daughters.
We must remove all guilt from within, only then can we become bold and courageous for the Lord. When guilt is there within us, we cannot openly love others. We will be jealous of each other, and unable to share in each other’s happiness. We will continue in our sins and perish in this world. When we remove our guilt from within us and accept the Lord and be washed by His blood, only then will we be accepted as His sons and daughters. Hence, we must give our lives into God’s hands. He is not a partial God to punish some and let others go scot-free. When our children make mistakes, we correct them. Why then should we not also accept God’s correction in our lives? God corrects us and counsels us for He loves us. When we become God’s children, the devil will increase our furnace seven times more, and try to cast us into it; but it is our God alone who will rescue us and save us. Today, once again, God has given us another opportunity to remove our guilt and shame from within us and walk boldly and courageously by giving our lives into His Hands.
Let the Lord bless this Word! Praise the Lord!
Pastor Saroja M.
Praise the Lord, dear readers. Wishes and prayers that all of you are healthy and safe and continue to be so in the coming month.
Literally, and only by the grace of God, due to pressure from the residents of our old age home, our Mira Road Sunday Church services are conducted regularly. Seeing their enthusiasm and thirst for the word of God, I personally feel so motivated. Though physically I am quite tired due to our Saturday and Sunday Church services conducted in our Kalina and Kurla Churches respectively, just knowing that the residents are waiting for their Sabbath day service pushes me even more.
I am thankful to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, that even at this age, all the residents want to keep the Lord’s commandment and attend Church service. Praise be to God for His tender mercies on all our residents. May He shower His abundant blessings on all of them.
Do continue to take care of yourself and your family members and continue to keep our residents in your prayers.
Your sister in Christ,
Pastor Saroja M
Praise The Lord!
The lessons being taught to the 3 batches of our Sunday School children are being rolled out in full force. Biblical stories are being explained to the juniors with activities so that it is easier for them to grasp them. The Seniors are taught incidents from the Old as well as New Testament, and how they must relate to them practically, in their lives.
This time around, the junior class learnt the story of how Noah built the ark, under God’s instructions. The little ones were given one page for colouring, where the picture described all the species of animals brought together into Noah’s ark. They were also explained how only Noah found favour in God’s sight, amongst all the wicked people on earth. Due to this favour Noah found, his family was also saved, whereas all mankind was washed away from the face of the earth. Hence, in today’s times too, it is very important to find God’s favour by walking in complete obedience so that we do not perish in this world.
The intermediate children learnt about the power of touch that Lord Jesus has in Him (as described in Matthew 8:14-15, where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law who was lying sick with a fever on the bed). Jesus just touched her hand, and the fever left her, and immediately she arose and served them. The children were explained how they must learn to show gratitude and thankfulness in any and every way possible to Jesus upon receiving any good thing from Him, be it healing or materialistic gifts, etc. because all good things are received only from our Heavenly Father.
The Senior children learnt about how Ishbosheth was murdered (2 Samuel 4). They were taught that we should learn to wait on the Lord, as God works through circumstances of His choice to bring about His ultimate will in our lives. Also, they were taught to not attempt to direct God’s work without His authority, as then, the result would never be in their favour.
We pray that our Sunday school children will learn and grow in the manner that our Lord wants them to.
Do continue to pray for all our little ones that their faith and hope in the Lord should increase day by day, and that they may continue to receive their blessings from the Lord above.
